>heist-themed roguelike deckbuilder
>>724145774The lead dev loved payday, so they wanted to make a heist themed game.
>>724145631>?si=XQOh4sfy7qCtbt2Swhat does that do?
>>724145953tracks the link so they know where you got linked from or some shit
>>724145953some youtube bullshit. I hate the site more with every passing week

>>724145631Fuck yeah! I've been wanting to see more of this ever since, well, ever since it was first announced! Chrono Ark remains my favourite Deck Builder. I've got a lot of faith in these devs.
>>724145631She looks dead inside. Can I fix her? Either way they have said nothing about the actual narrative premise of the game have they? Like, are we heisting because we're greedy fucks or because we're like a Robin Hood crew and the mega corp is rotten?
Good, I need this after the major dissapointment that is czn
>>724147487Nothing yet. Considering Lucy was a good soul in a bad situation yet its payday inspired enough to hire Gustavo for the soundtrack, I assume its going to be both.
>rougelite now instead of roguelikeI mean chrono ark also had unlockables, but feels like they missed the point.
>>724147995I'l be fine with it if they make a roguelike mode after you beat the story.Since the game (probably) isnt about being stuck in a simulated loop this time its kinda hard to have a true roguelike without feeling tacked on or just giving the protag timepowers.
>>724145953Can be used to dox whoever made the link.
>>724147995Metaprogression has fuckall to do with roguelites. "Roguelite" effectively just means "with roguelike elements". It's a term for games inspired by roguelikes using roguelike mechanics, that still aren't actual roguelikes. Like adding exp to call of duty doesn't on its own make it an rpg. It's an rpg element. Adding first-person shooting to Zelda doesn't make it a first-person shooter, it's an FPS element. Adding randomization or even perma death to a game does not make it a roguelike. It makes it a roguelite, unless it's actually a roguelike. You can have a roguelite with -no- metaprogression and it still wouldn't make it a roguelike. What makes a roguelike has never been contingent on metaprogression.
>>724147995Oh there is a whole steam post about the game. She is cute when she smiles.
>>724148562Im sorry unc, you lost this definition battle years ago
>>724147063Lucy Strong
>>724148562What's the game to the left of Slay the Spire? I feel like I know it but I wasn't aware it had any rogue-like or procedural generation in it
>>724150718Azure Dreams. Your character lives in town with a huge monster tower that adventurers from far and wide travel to in order to try their luck at riches and fame that can be claimed from within. Your character inherits a monster from his father who passed away in the tower. And with this, after having come of age, you try your luck at the tower yourself. The floors of the tower are procedurally generated. And inside you fight alongside your monster companion that will act on its own, but you can give it commands every single turn of the game if you so wish so you've still got control. And you can also tell it to not act on its own anyway. Inside you'll find tons of other monsters. And occasionally you'll find monster eggs. And through various methods you can even transform enemy monsters into eggs. Whenever you leave, your player character will revert back to level 1 and lose all progress in true roguelike fashion. But it's true that your monsters will retain their levels unlike you. That's what makes the monsters special. But the interesting thing is that monsters are all limited by energy in ways that you aren't. So simply by walking around the tower they'll tire, and when they use special moves they'll tire even faster. And when their energy is gone, they become useless. So having monsters never means the game stops relying on the player character. In fact, for success you should try to rely on them as little as possible. But when you leave the tower, you can hatch the monster eggs you retrieved from the tower. This gives you new companions that you can bring with you to the tower. And when you return, the tower floors will all have been randomized, and you'll have to try to level up all over again. Really cool game.
>>724145631Very good news thank you OP
