>more completed torrents than concurrent players
PC gaming is a blight in our system. You're not entitled to free games and behavior like this is exactly why bandai and other companies are flocking to denuvo.

not my problem
>>

Just let the small kids with no money enjoy the game sir, is part of the marketing
>>
>>724153470
cry harder, faggot
>>
>>724153470
Even if NG4 had Denuvo, most of these people wouldnt buy the game because they are either too poor to buy it or arent willing to spend $70 on something they might not even like.
>>
reminder that piracy is a net positive for a game, as demonstrated by the EU study that was memoryholed.
more people playing your game=more sales, some will wind up picking the game up on sale, some will just talk about it and generate further interest
DRM is poison
>>
This is called voting with your wallet. People are willing to pay for things that they think are worth it. many other games do well and sell lots. So if they are not buying it, the answer is they don't think its worth it.
>>
>>724153470
not my problem, not seeding either
>>724153790
would 49%? 25%? 1%?
i only ever buy games with denuvo/online drm and console exclusives these days
>>
>>724153470
This just goes to show how extremely unreliable steam charts are

and yet /v/ still posts them nonstop
>>

honestly it sounds like nobody wants to play this game at all

You now understand why PC ports are poorly optimized and rarely a priority.
>>
>>724153470
If it has dlc it has no moral ground to cry about entitlement. Also, not my problem.
>>
>>724153984
not to mention it ignores gamepass and consoles

Usually the pirates are 12 years old who won't buy the games anyway but they are potential customers 10 years in the future.
Prove: Me
>>
>>724154141
To /v/ those don't exist

Remember when people tried showing the steam charts saying that silksong "only" had 600k players but then sales were revealed to be over 5 million and /v/ was broken

The couldn't piece together where over 4.4 million people came from when the steam concurrent peak was 600k
>>
>>724154141
Gamepass is not a real purchase
>>
>>724153470
You are not entitled to sales. Also concurrent =/= total. 14k downloads might result in maybe a couple hundreds concurrent pirate players, most people won't even install the game right away after downloading the torrent.

>download
>play for a few hours
>realize its trash and I'll never play it again
>delete everything

This mindrapes the paypig who has 10.000 titles he bough on impulse and never actually plays
>>

>as demonstrated by the EU study that was memoryholed
It's so funny to read this because it happened to a dozen different papers and the one you're talking about is merely the most recent, yet you think it's THE study rather than A study.
Memoryholed indeed
>>
>>724154212
Just as likely to be the opposite: 12yo using their parents' money are more willing to buy than adults using money they had to work for
proof: me
>>
>>724153470
Usually the pirates are 40 year old zoomers who won't buy the games anyway but they are potential customers in an parallel universe where americans are thin.
Proof: Me
>>
>>724153470
People whi torrent had no real intention of purchasing your 70 dollar product.
>>
>>724154212
This is basically me.
I used to pirate up to my mid 20s.
Now i am 40 and i barely pirate anymore.
Any SP game is usually on sale at affordable prices or in a humble bundle by the time i finally get to playing it.

Il probably play NG4 on game pass when i sub to it in a moth or so after i finish Silk-song and FFXVI (Games i bought)
>>
>>724153790
i bought ff16 because it had denuvo
>>
desu i really want to play it, but i only have a shitty laptop and a outdated ps4, my laptop cant run it, and a ps5 is too expensive, so.....
>>
>>724153470
Im not going to pay $70 for video game.
>>
>>724155263
I pirated it through youtube for the same experience.
>>
>>724153470
Concurrent players and total downloads are not comparable in the way you’re suggesting
>>
>>724155390
but /v/ seems to think so
>>724154226
/v/ can't explain where 4.4 million people "appeared out of thin air"?
>>
I legally can’t purchase the game since it’s not available in my region, so they can suck cock I’m not ashamed to pirate it.
>>
>>724155383
it's an action game. if you're smart you skip the half-assed story and just have fun
>>
>>724153470
99% of these wouldn't have bought the game if it wasn't pirateable.
Do you want a free hotdog? Sure
Do you want to pay 70 dollary doos for a hotdog? No Mario
>>
>>724153470
>more completed torrents than concurrent players
the problem is you, and companies as well, see 11K players on steam and 13K completed torrent, and in your mind it means potential 24 players on steam that have been swept away by piracy, when the reality is that if piracy wasn't a thing, then you'd see 12K players, not 24K, and the remaining 12K are people who wouldn't have bought the game anyway

piracy =/= lost sales
the vast majority of people who pirate games only play the game they pirate cause they can pirate them, if they can't, they simply won't play the game, they won't go and buy it instead
>>
>>724155383
>for the same experience
Lmao, your experience was not the same at all.
The best way to experience ff16 is listening to the ost on youtube and forgetting it came from a game.
Be thankful you didn't suffer as much as the fools who opted to play that "game".
>>
>>724153551
FPBP
>>
>>724154226
so explain then?
>>
>pirate game
>OP seethes
why this happen?
>>
>>724155263
i pirated ff16 and it was the biggest slog of a game i have played in a long ass time
>>
>>724153470
I didn't even pirate your shit game
Buy an ad
>>
>>724153470
I paid $70 for this game, realized it was trash and refunded it. I'm going to just pirate it later and you can't stop me anon. The game is slop.
