Maybe Asgore thinks he's seeing illusions when he's seeing Kris, Susie, Ralsei (who looks like Asriel), and Asriel (if Azzy joins the fight). Still, you fight him to get to the dark fountain, and this time Kris breaks the "Fight" button by throwing their sword down like UT Asgore broke the "Mercy" button; ain't no way Kris is fighting their adoptive dad.This is bad since the Roaring Knight has free real estate to open another fountain while the Fun Gang deals with the tank that is Asgore without Fight-ing. No one would believe him or his stories about shadow realms until now.He makes a heroic stand against the Knight to protect Toriel, and all at once, she realizes that he was right about everything, and has been fighting to protect the town even as his life is in shambles.I don't think Toby would make Asgore so sympathetic if we're meant to enjoy seeing him be cucked by a skeleton and live in squalor while his ex-wife and kids live normal lives.
