That or the Paladin Shield is the only one that works, since I remember hearing there was some sort of bug with shields in the original to where only the first and "best" ones work and none of the others do. I don't know if Lord's shield works or not, but IIRC Paladin's does?

>>724191061>>724191773The theorycrafting for this game mainly centers around whether you want the stronger class with single-target spells or the slightly weaker one with multi-target spells. In the case of the Paladin, if you've already decided to take Duran on the light path then it has better stats and a better full-screen tech than the alternative, the Lord, who gets to multi-target his healing spells. It's arguable, but I think having cooler classes is the better choice unless you really want that convenience. You can get healing and elemental buffs from items, the only ones you can't get from items are Lise's stat buffs and Hawkeye's stat debuffs. (Talking about the snes version).
