Superstar Saga is the only good Mario & Luigi and it is a uniquely cosmic tragedy that it never surpassed that bar of quality and continued pumping out mediocre games. It feels like the concept was only worth exploring once as a one-off.

>>724183560I really liked this game honestly. Best battle system in the series along with PJ. The levels and enemies/bosses were all high quality. Reclusa is probably one of my favorite fights ever. The only problem with this game was the character writing for most of the plug people main cast and the plug people in general not being visually interesting. You'd think they would lean into more designs like the Trio, Zokket, Conductor, etc, because the characters leave a lot to desire being mostly recolors and they can drag the game down with how much they yap on about shit.7.5-8/10

Its really slow but finally picks up in the third zone. Its fine, I really enjoyed the final act. The Zokett twist was too obvious so Reclusia was a great final villain.
They managed to make a goofy game about plugs and really went full into a thesis on bonds and connections, complete with a main baddie who [spoilers]wants to trap everyone in isolated VR dreams.[/spoiler] I actually really like that they really went all the way with the theme.Extension Corps are the best boys.
