Reasons to realize the UNSC aren't good guys, they're just the only way for humanity to survive the Covenant. And generally a good all around story, if a bit pulpy.Frankly you can't really go wrong with the Bungie books, they gave a shit back then.

>>724187641He also is the one that came up with the idea that Cortana was made to support the Spartans, chose John due to luck, etc. In the original game, Cortana was just the ships AI.Bungie were a bit all over the place with Cortana, actually. In 3 they lean into the ideas from this book, but then in Reach they sort of walk it back a bit.
