How do they justify these prices? Who’s buying this?
You're saving two hundred and ten dollars though...
I don't really know who is buying them. Anyone who isn't stupid will just buy an rtx 4070 super or 4080 super for a third of that price. I can't really think of a single use case for a 5090 for an average consumers needs.
the average american is 250k+ in debt
>>724190059I guess if you are gaming in 8k a 5090 could make the difference but I literally don't know of a single person that is doing that
>>724190059Probably guys running local AI models due to the 32 VRAM.
>>724189823The usual response is that its for 'enthusiasts' but even then the 5090 is only around 30% better than the 4090 according to benchmarks, hardly worth 3k when in a few months they will just release yet another GPU.
>>724189823Retards that are obsessed with graphicsthere aren't even good games worth playingjust graphics
>>724189823Bitcoin/AI companies
>>724189823I used to feel like the stupidest fucking idiot in the world when I spent $2.5k (AUD) on a watercooled 2080 Ti back in the day, fucking thing broke down after a couple years tooIt's some small consolation to me that I didn't just buy at the peak of the bubble
>>724189823A lot of businesses need them nowadays anon and by businesses, I don't mean the conventional mom and pop or retail store, but a lot of people working from home who can justify the spending due to what they earn.
>>724190626This, + pseudo 5k on a g9. FWIW not even a 5090 can run most AAA slop reasonably though without DLSS at that point
