a racer chair
it's ok but i dont like high backrests
not at all, the design is stupid and the chinesium pu-leather stank up my room for days
it was a gift and it still does the job so whatever. a real leather executive chair is hard to beat, i miss my old one and would recommend one over any gamer bullshit

Steelcase Leap V2
Is it comfy?
You can sit in it all day pain free, so yes.
Is it based?
It's a $1,400 chair you can readily find at office supply liquidators for $200.

Any chairs that don’t make a bunch of creaking noises at the smallest movements?

The Leap is very similar in a lot of ways, better in some, and much more plentiful on the used market.

fuck these stupid fucking chairs. I have spent more than a thousand dollars on every reputable brand, argued with employees in person and online, replaced and sent back for warranty repairs. just get a fuckin pleather office chairs from BJ's and call it a day. the moment you attempt to recline these pieces of shit for more than 20 minutes, screws start falling out and shit starts creaking more than a public school desk. I hope the shit stains that invented these things get caught in the machinery it takes to produce them.

AND (i forgot) all of them have the same point of failure, which is the bracket that mounts the chair to the hydraulic piston. all these "gamer" brands were smart enough to basically understand what factories coukd drop ship them a kit to sell to people but not be bothered to test them.

Someone threw out a perfectly good gaming chair across the street that I just took home. None of the wheels were broken and it could still be adjusted and lean back the only issue is that the material on the arms was starting to peel off but I still kept it. I sanitized it and it’s really comfy too

if you know where to get it, you can just get a custom seat made from used european luxury car seats rigged with arm rest and wheels.

I go to a chain called ReStore which is sort of like Goodwill but in a big tall warehouse full of garage hardware too and an outdoor section. Better in every way.
I buy old Herman Miller chairs there. The current one I have is so old it's not documented anywhere online, but it was in nearly immaculate condition when I found it besides the arm rest plastics looking a bit ashy from UV damage maybe.
