Haven't had a chance to pirate it, is it better than the first game at least? Everything I've heard sounds like it corrects most of the massive mistakes of the first outside of the same garish art direction which admittedly is also a slight improvement in some respects. Hell, is it better than Avowed?

The Outer Worlds 2 runs shader compile, then always kills video output exactly at the transition to the main menu. Sometimes Event Viewer shows nvlddmkm Event ID 153 (GpuRcReset TDR), sometimes the display path hangs with audio still playing. Repro on DisplayPort and HDMI, DX11, 60 Hz fixed, VSync on, borderless, VRR/HDR/overlays disabled, caches wiped, configs reset, clean GPU driver reinstall (DDU), reinstall on a different drive. No other title does this. This is a GPU device hang triggered by the game’s menu presentation. I played for hours yesterday, and now it always crashes when reaching the main menu. What a steamy load of shit this game is.
