It's basically impossible to kill before 6, unless you use your wolves and the enemy just dies to them because they disrespected you. You're meant to rush helm of dom, which means no boots of speed. You're moving around slowly and don't have a disable. Low skill players don't have the patience needed for the hero. I like Lycan but he's tough to play.

I'm a new player, fought against medusa as ursa the other day and didn't understand her and got giga raped in lane until about 8~ minutes into the match when I two shot her and realized that her passive negates damage, taking mana instead and I had the knowledge to remember that there's an item in the game that lets you burn the enemies mana every time you attack them, once I got difussal blade the medusa was never a problem. Extremely satisfying. idk if that's the absolute best answer for her but it felt good because I figured it out myself
