Been enjoying Genshin again but Miliastra Wonderland is a fucking trainwreck. The monetization is shockingly aggressive for the gamemode, even by hoyo standards, which I could look past if there was anything besides the aggressive monetization. Being dumped into a "social hub" with zero content or features just to matchmake some of the worst player made content you could imagine.THESE are the titles they curated from early access creators? They couldn't pay some devs to create first batch of minigames for users to play to demonstrate the power of their editor? You know, like the minigames they make and throw away every single fucking patch!? The 75 minigames they could have just recycled from previous patches?

Story of 1.1 was also less of a clusterfuck than convoluted mess of fetch quests and technobabble in 1.0. Overall experience was quite similar however.Real improvements happened in 2.x (after 1.4). It truly is a different game nowadays. Countless changes.Tho for me the best thing about WuWa is the cinematic and dynamic combat, far better than all other gacha in this aspect. Story presentation too, characters are very expressive and camera work is great. Main flaw would be uneven story quality between patches and overarching plot being sidelined in favor of promoting new characters.

The only one I play as of right now is Limbus, and even then that's just generally logging in once/twice a day to convert energy into nodes, then using those nodes for mirror dungeons/exp runs. The only time I'm spending significant amounts of time on it are doing events, main cantos and railways. I dropped Granblue about a year ago, and dropped Bang Dream and Genshin a few years before that.I wouldn't say I hated the games I dropped (Bang Dream was my go to rhythm game for a long time and I got into the top 250 for one or two events which is a grind and a half, Granblue I've played for about 4/5 years at that point, Genshin I played day 1 almost every day until I stopped playing after Inazuma). I just started losing interest in booting them up to play, which gradually grew until I started thinking "Why am I playing this when I have games I've bought but never even touched?" and just stopped playing them. If Granblue got a sequel of sorts that wasn't stuck on a web browser I would check it out, but Cygames won't do that at this point due to how long GBF has been around and the shitshow that would inevitably happen from what is practically a complete progress wipe on the old game to get people to move to the next one; other gatchas I feel like I'm getting into too late (weird considering only Limbus and Genshin I played day 1) or just don't interest me outside of porn on the boorus.Thanks for reading my blog.
