Can someone make a case for this game? I gave it a chance and got like 10+ hours in, but it's just endless going to school and killing monsters in a field? Boring...

1) trails is a series of highly interconnected games. if you jump halffway into the series you will miss out on a lot of important context, throwbacks, and references. CS1 is not the worst starting point but it's also not great
2) the series is split into arcs, where each arc focuses on a specific country. generally the first games in each arc are setup games, since they're introducing the country and a new set of characters
3) in general trails is a very "slow burn" kind of series. if you're not into that then it's understandable that you wouldn't like it
4) as someone who's played all 12 games that have released in the west so far, i don't even know if it's worth getting into it at this point. it's clear they have no idea how to close out the series and i can already tell it's going to be a disaster
