sorry, I meant.. ff6 in jp, what's happening? it's too hard to understand
>>724212743Judging from the pic, it's the optional scene of Cid surviving by player understanding which fish to feed him and doing it fast enough. Usually Cid dies even if player feeds him the fish because the game doesn't tell about the hidden time limit nor about only feeding the best fish (the ones swimming fastest). Normally Cid dies and player finds the letter telling about the hidden raft. If Cid survives, he tells about it himself.
>>724212743context?
>>724212843should I let Cid die then?
>>724212913Doesn't affect the gameplay anyway. Even if he survives, there's no extra content for it. He just keeps standing in the cabin and doesn't have any further dialogue
>>724212913Why?
>>724212989because it's too hard to find the right fish...
>>724212743This is not difficult Japanese. Please continue your studies, Dekinai-kun.
where are the fish though? they're all gone
>>724212989>>724213006It's bit RNG, because a) the game doesn't tell nor show the time limit b) once you catch good fish, the next batch of fishes might not have the good fish and you are forced to feed Cid the not-so-bad fish but the not-so-bad fish still lowers the time limit
>>724213017I hear final fantasy games in general go hard on the kanji. So if you understood nothing going in it'd be confusing.
>>724213113Either Cid has died or you need to exit the cabin area for world map and return

Oh yeah, the western version doesn't talk about the other inhabitants of the island nor Celes suiciding by jumping the cliff. They call it leap of faith which supposedly fastens their bravery :D So Celes is just crying and decides to jump of the become braver and then coincidentally she survives and wakes up to seagull wearing Locke's bandana poking her giving her bravery to journey to sea

ok sorry i forgot i already saved cid here. i guess im floating or something.
>>724213429How did you forget when you posted a pic of Cid saying 完全に回復?
I go here and find locke maybe
>>724213509i loaded a save from like a year ago and didn't have enough jp skill to realize what he was saying
>>724213552Understandable.
doesn't this guy want me to use a key or something?
>>724213521No, you find Sabin at the collapsing building and need to rescue the child on timelimit. Watch out, one of the enemies can petrify you. Later you find Edgar and Setzer as mandatory party members. The rest are optional. Locke's optional dungeon requires 2 parties
"1000 years ago i saw something" (maybe toshokan=library but prob not)
>>724213714>1000 years ago i saw somethingIs that your understanding of the text in that text box?
>>724213787i mean there's like.. 1000 nen.. and miru kanjia.. and "ta" ending.. isn't that good enough to know?
>>724213842の. The の is important.
>>724213957ok, a docment from 1000 years ago.. whatever
>>724213714>>724213957followup
>>724214204I guess the 8 refers to 8 legendary dragons. The game at that point spawns 8 different elemental dragons around the world for you to beat.
>>724214338>I guess the 8 refers to 8 legendary dragons.Well it's 8の竜. So the odds are pretty high.
>>724214338fuck I thought 匹 = hiki = small animals
>>724214451Once you get airship, the forest near Veldt has super strong dinosaur enemies. They give the most EXP and AP. I don't think any character in the game tells you it.

In English version the name Edgar uses as undercover is Radge. I'm guessing in jap version his regular name's moonrunes will be shuffled or reversed
