>>724213467It looks like it. That's not an insult.
>>724212838I played it for the first time recently. Most of this post will be complaining, which might give off the impression that I didn't like the game, but that's not true. I did like it. I thought it was decent. The core gamplay loop is quite fun in the first half of the game. It starts overstaying its welcome in the later parts. I don't know what it is exactly. Maybe the gameplay loop starts getting too repetitive without enough fresh ideas to iterate on it, combined with the enemies getting far more tanky with a lot more firepower, which limits the viability of certain approaches and makes confrontations more tedious. There is one straight-up bullshit element: the progression is sometimes locked behind finding a login with a password in some bullshit obscure corner of the map, and which can only be skipped if you invest a point into the hacking skill. The game makes it seem like any spec path is valid, but that's not really true. If you missed a note on a bigger map and you're stuck, and you have no skill points left, then you're kinda fucked and need to either scour the entire map for that one note among a sea of other notes or just look it up online, which is immersion-breaking. I ran into this problem in the big underground lab in Hong Kong. Afterwards I learned to invest into one hacking point and it wasn't a problem moving forward. There also seem to be some places where you have to either have the required amount of lock picks or hacking tools to proceed, which I could see potentially being a big problem, but thankfully I didn't get soft-locked by any of those. When it comes to the story, the overall plot was boring without anything emotionally-compelling or intellectually-interesting. I guess the dialogues were very competently written. There was also one stand out scene. It's on the 747 with that one guy who you were ordered to execute and agent Navarre. Overall I did like the game, but i wouldn't say it's one of the best games I've ever played.
>>724215453I'm just curious about how hard they're going to butcher chinatown so as to not offend reddit sensibilities
