>ruins all gaming discourse for eternity
I control which games I buy
>>724216293actually it's bots and discord weirdos reposting the same tired clickbait for 5+ years who are trying to end all intelligent discourse by flooding the catalogue with nonsense demoralizing "discussion" which only leads to dead endsmaybe you should stop
>>724216293Are they wrong?
>>724216650odds are you are a political tourist toodont think you get a pass just because you're not a /pol/tard
>>724216489they heavily incentivise you press those buttons
>>724216650I voted for Tump
>>724216293I can't begin to imagine where the controversy or debate with that statement would be.
>*presses the TKDTND button*
>>724216489>design the entire game around a shitty mechanic>umm technically you dont HAVE TO use ityeah technically you could play tetris without rotating the pieces too
>>724216293i dont because i have a ps5 controller older than 6 months
>>724217145you don't have a ps5 controller, erictendie
>>724217145huhI have 2 ps5 controllers I bought when the ps5 first released and I still use them daily on my pc
>>724216293qrd?
>>724216416I own the software on my computer
>>724217331I kneel
>>724216293QRD?
>>724216489Yeah it wasn't like choosing not use berserk packs, they were pretty integral mechanics.Social media guy probably hadn't even played the game, though, job was just to get twitter hits and it's useless and obnoxious to yell at them online. That's like having a fit to a cashier over inventory prices, they don't control jack shit, give it a rest.
>>724216293>press the buttons>money stolen>we decide how you should control the buttons you press
>>724216435>who are trying to end all intelligent discourseThis is what I was trying to explain to imbeciles posting on 4chan. Sure its a shitposting board and people have fun, but when everything longer than one simple sentence is "yawn tl;dr. where can I unsubscribe from this blog. happy for you or glad that happened but i aint reading all that." etc. most convos are reduced to retarded buzzword spamming. Intelligent discourse is somehow "reddit". Literal nigger logic.>>724216650>Lets pretend that 1% of the worlds population didnt have a huge influence on all popular media for the past 20 years to the point where everyone else became an afterthought
>>724217307>>724217371Some dude on Xitter did not like the direction of Doom Eternal with mechanically busy combat, the Doom social media guy told him to just not use the mechanically busy parts then.
>>724217657I miss it bros
>>724216293I won't be pressing the purchase button for video games anymore.
>>724217657Go back
>>724217657>Lets pretend that 1% of the worlds population didnt have a huge influence on all popular media for the past 20 years to the point where everyone else became an afterthoughtThat's because of European and world-branching shadow governments mandating international copyright that lasts for 70-90 years, a situation that has been ongoing since the 1800s.
>>724217920>1995 was 63.7 percent ago
>>724216293As if
>>724216416fippy bippy
In Soviet Russia buttons control you
>>724216760so did they
>>724216650Weird, I didn't know every gaming developer hired cardboard for their writers, PR and HR.
>>724216489Yes, because Eternal was designed to actually actively make you use of almost everything."You control the buttons you press" only works when something might as well be entirely optional. Like you can actually play Battlefield 6 without ever sliding, using weapon mounting, 2nd sights, flashlight/laser sight switch
>>724219216Trump did everything he said he would do. He was always 100% open about tariffs and trade wars. Why are the farmers acting like they are shocked? They knew this was coming and voted for this. They wanted this.
>>724216293They're right if they're referring to accessibility things like colorblind support. There's no reason to complain about it being there, just don't use it.That statement is NOT for raw gameplay mechanics like sprinting (Halo remake) or first person aiming (MGS remake) that completely break the games. Their presence in those remake are an inherent design flaw that cannot be "turned off" like people who misuse the statement seem to suggest.
>>724216650kek'd and true
>>724216293>here's the button that lets you awesome>its easy to press and its on your screen at all times>don't press it tho ;)
>>724219884>or first person aiming (MGS remake)That was literally the only way to shoot accurate shots in the original tho
>>724218084Only the biggest of newfags always tell people to "go back". Dont worry sonny, you will fit in one day without resorting to buzzwords or phrases like that.
>>724219884>>724220058oh, I'm retarded, you were talking about The Twin Snakes
>>724216650>trans people aren't actually realhello based department?
>>724216293>entire game is designed specifically around pressing the button>just not press the button :^)
>ButtonsYeah, the fact DOOM said this over "Keys" is pretty fucking grim.Consoleslop franchise.
>>724216489Yes. Ignoring a mechanic the game is designed around you using isn't the same as playing a game that doesn't have that mechanic.Morrowind doesn't have a minimap or quest markers, instead it has a lot of in-game signposts, sensible roads, and you can ask npcs for directions. Because it doesn't have the 'crutch' of minimap or quest markers, the game was forced to offer these things so players wouldn't get too lost. Removing the minimap and quest markers from Skyrim won't give you that sort of experience because the game was never made with it in mind.
>>724222173This, but also what was the Doom thing about in particular, because I forgot.
>>724216489DOOM Eternal won't give you enough ammo to survive unless you engage with its shitty glory kill mechanics. The max ammo cap is extremely low for every weapon, too, so you can run out mid-encounter despite starting from full if you aren't going for glory killsI skipped Dark Ages but I hear it's even fucking worse there with parrying, with every enemy being tanky as fuck unless you parry them and being almost free kills if you do parry them
>>724219216>boo hoo where's muh gibsInstead of crying for handouts they should pull themselves up by their own bootstraps and solve their problems on their own. You know, like Argentina is doing.
>>724216293So true.
>>724222760>press the button or the game will not move forward>GAH OMG I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU ACTUALLY PRESSED THE BUTTON YOU MONSTER
>>724222859You should have just not played the game you gave us money for, chud
>>724222173Morrowind has a minimap. Mario 64 doesn't have waypoints either. It's nothing really special
>>724216489"Given the opportunity, players will optimize the fun out of a game"If there is a gun that kills everything in 2 shots no one is going to use the sword that needs 20 hits to do the same. Then the next game they remove the sword because no one used it and it was "tedious".This is something that is happening with Monster Hunter and no one talks about it.
>>724216416>buy
>>724222983I misspoke, I mean the UI thing at the top that shows you what direction to walk and how far it is. I didn't say not having waypoints is special or amazing either, so I feel you're misinterpreting what I meant with the example.
>>724223508Objective compass
>>724216650So true sister
>>724216293>ackshually the debbil created everything and gawd is an ayy with bewbs
>>724222534it was about the freeze grenade and maybe some of the other abilities, which is retarded because many enemies are specifically designed around you using the grenades to beat them properly, and you just make it take needlessly longer to kill them
>>724216293I control the buttons I press, but the game dictates which buttons I am meant to press.
>>724216293I press the refund button.
>>724216489yes
>>724217657>Lets pretend that 1% of the worlds population didnt have a huge influence on all popular media for the past 20 yearsImagine whining about some trannies "influencing media" when majority of media through history has been influenced and funded by the elite.
>>724216416fippidty bippidty doo
>>724216293dark ages flopped and shitted so hard we will not get another doom game for the next 50 years
>>724216293Any arguments against just crumble. I can't think of anything.
>>724216650You truly do.
>>724216293Games that expect you to use all of its mechanics to have a chance at succeeding are far more fun. Having to purposefully gimp yourself to get any semblance of challenge or engagement is retarded.
>>724216416and yet, you complain
