If you are let down by weak dialogue and not really engaging narrative then you can wait a bit. They more or less fixed Flaws in that taking one doesnt actively sabotage your run and now are more nuance. I personally laughed when I got "Speedreader." So yeah, RPG mechanics are improved, everything else is more or less the same. All the 9/10 and 4/5 reviews it's getting have immediately made me distrustful. The first game had really positive reviews and it was the biggest 5/10 game I ever played. The first planet was frontloaded with content and after that it was shit, it wasn't even half a game more like a third. The only actual story beat that was interesting and had potential was revealed right at the end and was just a message you can miss by accident. I cant even remember the name of the end boss bad guy because the whole game is 'corporations le bad'

You mow down dudes and monsters your preferred way and they rarely fight back, any damage taken can be quickly healed, so it's more about your preferred way to ruin someone's day planing for a fight. But did you try Supernova? I dont blame you if you didn't, but suddenly all those stats and things like crippling body parts starts to matter. Quests needs planing and scouting out, abuse companion powers and cooldowns. Stealth sniper doesn't break Supernova either since so many enemies can burrow to you. Again, if you want to a new perspective on OW1 combat try the hardest difficulty.

Choosing where to route the power for example, or turn the Helios One into a weapon, for others, or even for yourself. Eveyone has their finger feet toes dipped in someone else's shit, and your Player Character is the judge jury executioner making the final decisions for Vegas / those surrounding parts of Mojave. Even smaller quests, smaller groups like the Caravans / Gun Traders etc want to put each other out of business. Infighting in every faction. I guess you can't avoid corpos and politics in games like these.
