So what's your next planned PC upgrade? I got a 14600K and 5070 right now and it should last quite a while, especially since I got a 1080p monitor. The next big game I'm interested in gotta be The Witcher 4, so by the time it comes out, maybe in late 2027, I'd like to get a full new build with XX80 or XX90 class card.
>>724220159>he fell for the intel corrosion inside memeyou amd bro?
>>724220159Probably getting an AMD 9070xt. Upgrading from a rtx 3070
I can't see myself upgrading my 12400f/3060ti for a while. maybe I might get another 32gb of ram. maybe.
>>724220159I'm not planning to upgrade until at least 2030 since I only just upgraded to a 7800 XT late last year.
>>724220159I already upgraded thoughbeit
i want 4TB SSD and 12-18TB HDD
>>724220159I've been thinking of building a midrange minipc powered by shArtMD 6000 or 7000 series, aiming for something around $1000-$1500 pricr range, i'll probably build that next year though
>>724221260>shArtMD 6000 or 7000 seriesBro, how is that midrange?
>>724221309That's not midrange?
>>7242214379060Ti is midrange.
>>724220159I don't want to upgrade because newer GPUs doesn't support physix and because I stopped playing modern slop long time ago. Currently I have rtx 2060 super, which is the last gpu with physix support?
>>724221780There are only about 50 games affected and only about 2 or 3 of those are good (Mirror's Edge, Batman).Anyway, RTX 4XXX is the last series to support it.
>>724220159I'll need something high-end for full vr experience
>>724221854Then I will buy 4xxx when my gpu dies. I unironically don't need more.
>>724221487>9060>Ti
>>7242220489060XT. Didn't even notice.
>>724220159Ryzen 7 7700 and 7800xt rn. Will upgrade for the next high end X3D and 6090 for 4k gaming.
>>724220159Maybe I'll get a 1440p monitor so I have more pixels to work with when aspect-correcting retro games. There's nothing worth upgrading anything else for.
>>724222296incel gpu development is dead, forget about it, they would be lucky to save the company at all
>>724220739>9070 XT>upgradeEven a 2050 is better than that.
Probably never.Whenevr what I have can be repaired and upgraded. Not big on replacement.Have some consoles, they could get linux or something.Getting something powerful and doing all it can seems a good system. Upgrading instead of getting hte besrt you can would make you used to that instead of you gettin used to using what you have to the best.Getting tied down is a fucked thing. not a good idea to get lots of stuff. Nowhere to store it. Stuck somewhere so you can keep it all. Or share it, rather than give it somewhere good to go to. In action and adventure with you.Might get something. Some traitor will probably try to fuck me over and move me on at some point. Like I am bad. Like their more important. The usual gutless shit. Eager to get someone else suffering.I like where I am for the moment, I have comfort, I can make. can't live it much but I wouldn't let the shit that's tried to destroy me into that.Might die fighting one day. Saving myself. They can't make me. Or if they can, and have, they can't make me like them.Life is a great story that can keep beeing great, unless medichre shit is the norm and enforced. And it all built on suffering. Fuck that. They don't get it good
My 3060 is surprisingly holding up because of DLSS black magic. I can't really "upgrade" because this PSU/mobo/CPU/GPU/monitor combination all kind of bottleneck each other. I'd have to buy a whole new setup which feels like a pain.
Just some cheaper laptop to replace my 1050. I only need one for older games and indies.
>>724220159>mid-range graphic card>12GBNani?
>>724221487Maybe some years ago. It will struggle with new titles in 2 years.
>>724223143Upscaling tech is honestly godsent for low spec machines. I wish I had something like this as a kid so I could play the latest AAA titles on my potato.

>>724223747Not in 2040
>>724223406An intermediary between game and hardware could turn what is there to something simpler and stylised.Might be a bit of lag, but still get the experience with whatever your system could handle.More of it utilised. And you choosing what you prefer to be seen best.Eg highly complex geometry could be done first, made sprites, saved in storage and streamed in approximation of what they might display. Some skeleton simplified so the sprites have some reference of which is demanded. Done used again, so as you play it looks better and or/plays better.More sprites, more world.Storage used though, and because storage used it'd hhave to be very low res, upscaling relied on to make it decypherable. post process colouring so the images saved can be greyscale. And coloured to your preferences. Eg no niggers. Some objects culled. like niggers. And stuff more for "realism" than what matters gettin across. Clutter, frivolous stuff. The not importanrt can be removed from render priority. Seen later if ever. That might sound weird, doesn't need to apply to everything, just could turn a low spec machine able to do good graphics as long as it had storage. Still get the gameplay, and a lot of the looks. just don't have hardware repeating. Just recalling.Might make artists able to to make characters etc anything as impressive as they are able. Stop "relism" meaning attention reduction via dissapointment.

>>724226587Nice.But why did you get Redditog Redditally in the first place? I really don't get these handheld PCs. They seem like a huge meme to me, with Steam Deck only selling cause Geban made it.
>>724226713Because I fell for the handheld meme. At first I was undecided if I wanted a deck of an ally to try gaming outside my desk, and got both already planning to return the one I liked the least. The deck went back and I kept the ally. But as it turns out I still prefer the comfort of mouse, kb and big screens anyway, so I kept playing on my desktop and the ally was just collecting dust.
My rig is only four years old but I think the GPU is dying. I'd rather not have to upgrade or even sidegrade it.
>>724220159>So what's your next planned PC upgrade?next i9 CPU and then a 6090
>>724227950>i9 CPUReally? Memetel?
>>724220159might upgrade from a 3700x to a 9600xI just wanna change my mobo from this shitty x570 one
>>724228008yes, why?
At the beginning of this year I upgraded from Ryzen 3600 to 5700X3D and got another 16GB of RAM, up to 32GB.I was originally planning on building a new PC, but after seeing how Dragon's Dogma 2 and then STALKER 2 run like absolute shit on the CPU, even on 7800X3D and 9800X3D, I gave up and decided to upgrade instead. In May I got 9070XT, which replaced my 2070S.Nvidia's biggest mistake was basically letting people switch to AMD GPUs. Now more and more people will know that AMD actually has good drivers now, less issues than 2025 Nvidia drivers. And FSR4 is actually good.Right now I plan on skipping AM5 entirely. My next PC will be AM6 or whatever Intel has, if they managed to unfuck themselves.
>>724228093It's no longer 2010s, anon. The roles had reverted, now Intel needs to catch up
>>724228150meant to >>724228048
>>724228150I don't care for 1080p game benchmarks or AMD. I will never buy AMD.

>>724224656>Still using old ass 1080p monitorYou don't know what you are missing, desu.
>>724228342You know AMD is a multibillion dollar company too, right?
>>724220159I only upgrade/buy new PC depending on the games, right now I'm happy with Switch 2 but that might change if there's some demanding games out there I wanna play. If GTA 6 is really good I'd upgrade for that I guess.
>>724228357one day, I'll find outbut I don't like throwing away working hardware
>>724228429Yeah, but I take whatever seems like a better choice at the time or the near future. In 2012 I got Intel CPU and AMD GPU.In 2019 I got AMD CPU and Nvidia GPU.This year I got AMD CPU (without the need of new motherboard and the rest of components) and AMD GPU.Right now I don't see a reason to get Intel CPU at all.>b-b-but estrogen cores!Core count argument never worked for AMD prior to Ryzen and it doesn't work for Intel now.Intel decided to stay stagnant for no reason.
I have a 9800x3d and 9700xt. I'm not really planning to upgrade anytime soon, unless the UDNA/RDNA5 cards are an insane uplift over RDNA4. If they are, I might upgrade the GPU and put the 9700xt in my HTPC which is currently running my old 6700xt. That might open up a can of worms with space / cooling though, since the 9700xt is a much bigger card and the HTPC is micro ATX sized.
>>7242292909070xtdon't know what I'm smoking this morning
I'm waiting for either an intel b780 or an amd 9080xt because I think the 7900xtx I have has degraded exponentially in the past months, but it may be the drivers too, still since it still works with some tweaks I'm not in a rush.
