I use bluetooth earbuds / a headset sometimes, if you cheap out, you're going to regret it. There is a noticeable delay and I'm autistic enough to play FPS games where I fire at sounds before I see players or people hitting flank spots beginning to rush. Proper Suppressive fire requires no delay, and if I'm actively running out there and shooting at everything, sound enters my brain much faster than trying to visually process what the fuck is going on. Even .15 - .25 of a sec is too much for me to handle.

I already have too many wireless devices. Even my keyboard is wireless, and I'm starting to find it annoying to charge so many shits. I understand how wireless latency reduction went a long way (I have a gamepad and a mouse that are basically input lagless wirelessly) but I can have excellent quality headphones for less than $200 with the only issue being there's a cable in the way.
Now outside? Earbuds won. They're just much more convenient, fuck. I'm not gaming on my fucking phone, so I don't give 2 fucks about latency when listening to music.

i went through a couple of options and settled on Astro A50s. much better audio quality than your typical $150 USD wireless headset, and supposedly they have slightly less latency too, thanks to the big ass base station (measured 11ms on some website). i was only able to sort of detect the latency when playing wired and wireless audio at the same time, but i do not notice the difference while playing per se, and i highly doubt it's hurting my performance when gaming in marvel rivals

Wireless headphones with a wire and jack is the best setup.
In shooters not hearing the bullet straight away is a real disadvantage, it's not much since most times you're not dropped straight away but it is giving them extra shots on you.

Plus wireless headphones have better sound when they're turned on and wired in. Wired and turned off, wireless and turned on has similar sound but keep it turned on and put the wire in and the sound quality is insanely better.

This year I went full wireless (mice+headset) after sticking to cable for years because of /v/'s influence.

I can say that if they have latency it is completely unnoticeable. I play lots of rhythm games and my performance in them didn't worsen at all. In fact the wireless mouse improved it a lot.

The headset also had great quality, though I did pay a price that, for wired, would have granted even more quality. But this is not a problem to me.

The mouse also came with a charging station so it's easy to keep it charged. Both it and the headset charge in the same charger I use for my phone, and the battery lasts weeks. It's really easy to keep everything going. I'm pleasantly surprised with wireless and regret not going wireless sooner.

Switched to a Wireless Headset just recently when my old one wired one finally gave out and started literally losing screws from how bad the plastic had broken down.

Honestly, it's fantastic. I haven't noticed any sound quality drop from my end. My friends say that I sound different in voice chat but it's not too bad.
The biggest thing is that this fucking thing is using some witchcraft with how far it can reach. I live with my parents still helping them keep their huge house with 2 floors and a basement. I'm on one end of the second floor, and this fucking headset WORKS IN THE OPPOSITE END OF THE BASEMENT. I've only found it lose connection if I tried to walk out onto the front yard with it on.
Doing regular chores while having it on is great. And I can even hear if someone pings me on chat while cooking dinner or shit like that.

I had an Arctis 7 for years, it was good (with a kind of shitty software), but the battery wasn't great (had to charge everyday) until the mic died.
I switched to a HyperX Cloud 3 that I got at 60 bucks. It is so good and so cheap, you don't need to pay $300. The battery last for a whole week easy (14h a day), no need to install any shitty software and the sound quality is good enough for me. The mic is not attached, so it's not going to be the reason why I need to replace it in years.

I can't say I ever notice any kind of latency with any wireless device I have (included my G502 lightspeed). Just don't use bluetooth I guess?
