nightdive did it again30 dollars for a 40 year old doom cloneneed it or keep it?https://store.steampowered.com/app/3366780/Outlaws__Handful_of_Missions_Remaster/
okay what the fuck is happening at the studio?
Nightdive did a few decent remasters for games that were already good, and started thinking it was okay to charge AA game prices for shit like PO'ED and KILLING TIME.

>>724230221Why wouldn't they remaster thief??
>>724230221actually unacceptable
>>724230807is there a sourceport for it?because the default engine is dogshit
>>724230740couldn't get the copyrights?
>>724230221Still waiting for turok evolution and dark forces 2
>>724230883Doubtful Thief isn't NOLF
The gameplay in Outlaws is pretty bad.
>>724230221Outlaws is only good for laying tnt trails around a level and through windows and then exploding it like dominos
>>724231034seems fine to me
>>724230446everything but SiN Reloaded
>>724230221I played the original and it sucked.
>>724230446Atari happened, they're running them into the ground.
>>724230987Yeah because Thief is like Deus Ex, owned by Embracer who's probably not too keen on commissioning a remaster from a subsidiary of Atari when they have studios of their own.You might get your remaster eventually, but it'll be made by Aspyr.
>>724230446It's Atari. They're putting 30 bucks on the remasters funded by them. You can see this because the ones that don't have Atari in the credits are cheaper if not free like Heretic+Hexen or Blade Runner.
>>724231525>it'll be made by Aspyrunironically the 343 of remasters, the Deus Ex one looks horrendous
>>724230221>40 year oldit came out in '97 you ragebaiting retard
>>724230837No. There's one in the works, but the current version only plays Star Wars Dark Forces. Outlaws runs on a modified version of its engine.https://theforceengine.github.io/
>>724231630Atari is a cancer at this point. It's one of those corporations that will only benefit the industry if it ceases to exist.
>>724233015something tells me that if Nightdive hadn't sold out to them they would have closed down by now
>>724233841Nightdive obviously rejected Microsoft's deal thanks to stephen being a retard and hating trump. If they had accepted, they would had go access to Iron Mountain's Activision Archives and remastered Mechwarrior 2 by now
