How much blood does a vampire generally needs? I want to understand the economics of the setting, how many people do you need access to, to have a steady enough supply of blood and the implications of that.

Vitae also isn't blood although it's functionally interchangeable with it.The other rule of thumb is that completely draining a rat will keep a vampire going for one day in spite of the fact that that's a lot less blood than a human, with the exceptions that Ventrue can't digest rat blood at all because they're too fancy and a Nosferatu can actually get *three* days of nourishment out of a rat meal because they were born in the same sewer
