no, but the framerate has nothing to do with it, collision detection is noticeably different from the first two games and you get stuck/bump on shit much more easily. On top of that objects that you roll up don't effect your movement like they should and clip through the floor more instead of pole vaulting you around

How the game calculates the framerate literally changes everything since everything is based on the framerate, including collision detection.

Doesn't matter. What matters are the calculations under the hood and how everything updates together with frames. If they fundamentally changed that then everything will feel slightly off even if you lock frames.

got up to the philospher level yesterday, i'm having a lot of fun. the levels are all fun and well designed, even if the missions are pretty much the same as always (roll and get bigger). only gripe is that the OST isn't as good as the old ones, but thats a very high bar to clear

It goes in increments, so when you're small or at the smallest portion of a size category, you're speedy but as you get larger you slow down a lot, having dash mapped to a button helps with getting around but doing it with the stick makes you go faster

Yeah. But games like Pokemon SV and Legends ZA can handle a lot more on-screen on S2 even without any upgrade packs. There is a notable difference in pop-in. So it's not just framerates.
