Now that the dust has settled, what went so right?
>>724243158Game makes it easy to dox people.
It let me toy around with tons of weapons and spells I never tried in Elden Ring, Wylder and faith respec Duchess was a lot of fun for that. The map feels expertly designed and I think the people asking for full randomization don't know what they're asking for and probably stopped playing the game after Heolster anywayThat being said Depth of Night D3-D5 is just your run of the mill "pump the numbers" hard mode. It's nice for the game to have some bit again but it also feels incredibly lazy and poorly designed.
>>724243158>Nightfarer designs are all pretty good>Nightlord designs are mostly great as well, only real stinkers are Caligo and Maris>simplified leveling and equipment requirements keeps things moving quick>putting two spells directly on each talisman/staff instead of cycling slots and having a dedicated useless bonk button is how things should have been working since Dark Souls 1
>>724243158It still looks like cheap shovelware made on a whim by soulless executives for a quick bucki can't believe people fell for this shit
>>724245250you haven't even played it
>>724243158>what went right fast paced souls gameplay with no stamina or fall damage to cuck you >what went wrong deep of night is retarded. player count pretty much plummeted because of it
>>724244724>posts tranny shark
>>724245632You sound upset
>>724243158The entire premise-proposition sounds stressful as fuck. I might play Erdtree but this game mode sounds like it got made solely for sweats
>>724247679It has a brutal learning curved but is satisfying to master.
>>724247679It's really notI play with my shitter friends and they generally do fine, except for the end boss which I usually end up having to fight solo after a while
>>724248014Probably because you route for them and drop loot for them and tell them where to go and what to use and how to build their character
>>724248101>route for them We mostly played soon after launch and figured out how to route by playing the game, it's not hard to grasp after a few runs>drop loot for themWe drop loot for each other depending on our class, is that not a normal thing to do, especially if you have vc? Even when playing with randos I'd see it happen>what to use and how to build their characterSee my first point, you figure that stuff out pretty quickly especially compared to DS/ER
>>724243158>Good overall gameplay formula with decent variance and strong replayability>One of the best and most consistent boss rosters in fromsoft’s library. Yes that includes Maris. Not a single a miss.>Everdark sovereign add more to these bosses creating novel twists and occasionally boss that are fought entirely differently. Some are admittedly better than others though. All free too>Surpisingly “memeable”>The only real miss is deep of night which devolves into difficulty wankery with literally everything turning into a 1-shot machine. All they need to do is make more. But after the expansion I’m concerned they’ll just drop it and move on to the duskbloods. We better get a deathblight flavor night lord in Godwyn in December.
>>724248583so then they're not your shitter friends. you all started and played together the entire time. you sound stupid.
>>724244724>It let me toy around with tons of weapons and spells I never tried in Elden RingBut you could have done that in Elden Ring. You didn't need an entirely new fucking game to do that.
>>724243158It feels like an unfinished prototype of a game. I like it but it's a bit anemic content wise.
>>724250216The format of the game makes it feel much more natural to just pick up and use anything you see on specific characters, and you get to use those items immediately in a full run. It made me appreciate a lot of items and mechanics I never touched from base ER. But yeah, I guess if you took what I said out of context and only want to use new items in a vacuum then sure I guess you maybe have a point?
