For the LCD, Sony likely realized they wouldn't be using all that storage for whatever they had in mind for it (possibly big firmware updates) and decided to make some of that storage into basically a built-in memory card.Modders realized this a few years ago, and found a way to make that unused storage available as a built-in memory card even on OLED models, and this can be done with a hack you can do through the web browser. So now you don't even need to buy those ridiculous proprietary memory cards for the OLED Vita anymore.

It's more like an interactive graphics novel than it is, well how you described a game like Jak and Daxter. It's staying power and why people still talk about it is due to the unique way it went about it's story. Like there is a SHIT ton of story, a world fleshed out far deeper than most, but it only achieves that by making most of the story into a literal book that's acted out with comic like stills as you progress with read on your own sections for things like the monster bestiary and such. It puts you in the shows of a man that's trapped from this wide world that can only experience through second hand knowledge. So for some they see the book as just a menu but others see it as the game. No shame you didn't like it though, glad you gave it a shot at least.
