A recent Nintendo leak has shown some plans for the next mainline installment of The Legend of Zelda, and everything points to a TotK sequel. The game's world will be an expansion on the Hyrule map seen in both BotW and TotK, meaning more terrain for the surface and underworld, and new sky islands. The game is expected to be released in Q3 2026.

>>724244229Well thats fine, I wasn’t planning on getting a switch 2 or using my old switch 1 ever again anyway.
>>724244229is this the TotK dlc that never happened? I could see that. TotK started as a DLC that grew too big to fit. It would be appropriate if TotK's planned dlc followed the same Trajectory. I was hoping the world would be revisited with a fully restored Hyrule kingdom. maybe the switch 2 will make it possible to have a populated town as a key feature.

>>724244229What's your wishlist anon? Here's mine>an inventory ui that's not partitioned at all, every item in one long horizontal selector with no sorting>they fix the weapons so that you don't have to use them more than once anymore, I always hated hitting an enemy multiple times without breaking my sword>a fourth crafting mechanic, but this time make it more tedious, less rewarding and ideally it should use a currency that you have to buy with real money in order to work>the new areas should have nothing in them>ads
>>724244229So, Zelda developers are treading water because they don't know what to do with the series. OOT,MM,TP all over again.
