Hands down one of the greatest FF soundtracks in all of FF's history. Easily in the Top 3. And the combat is fucking amazing especially in LR. It was literally the last time Square Enix fucking tried. Sure XIII is linear, you don't need to quote my post about that for the 100000 time. But quite literally everything you dislike about XIII was addressed in XIII-2. And again the OST in all three games is fucking top tier.

To be honest, a lot of the hate this game gets isn't from fans, it's from the Journalist of that time. It was during the period the West came together to shit on all JRPGs as a whole calling them old and outdated. Like, seriously, do your research on the XIII hate in the west. Also research people who recently played the XIII series. They all seem to like it over FF15 and FF16 and wish Square would... go back. But Square recently announced that while E33's success is amazing they have no interest in making turn based games.
