Unironically people are just more jaded and miserable than ever thanks to deliberate monopolized internet and social media echo chambers and Im a normieI remember coming here 15 years ago for the first time and it was so much better. Then people started getting more and more bitter but it was limited to incels, lowest of the low, the perpetual victims. Then the tide kept rising. Psuedo normies, people who got out the muck and got pulled back in, then pushing to ordinary folks, and now it's consumed pretty much everyone regardless of wealth or status. Nowadays you have to actively work, daily, to be calm, let alone happy. People have to listen to self help podcasts, therapists, yoga, meditation, mental exercises, and you're one day of social media or news doomscrolling away to be dragged back down into the shit. You used to have a myriad of different websites and forums to visit. Now it's basically leddit and this. I guess discord channels but Im not a faggot so I dont use thoseIm in my early 30s and Ive lived in 9 states. Ive traveled extensively to 26 and even did a documentary project meeting people. I know people. I have never seen America be a more fucking miserable place, and its because of the handful of billionaires and oligarchs who have captured our hatred into a bottle on social media, creating enemies everywhere that aren't just them, in hopes to kill us off via misery so they can have even more. Sound kinda meta? It is. This sickness has seeped into everything.
