clean your mousepad, /v/
>mouse over the logothey didn't clean it, they bought a new one.
too much cum.
>>724248735I throw mine in with my laundry every couple weeks
coffee mug stains give it character
>>724248735Consoles don't have this problem.
Galko's boobs don't need cleaning. They're perfect the way they are.
how? the bottom is rubber
it will look like left again in little time
>>724248735I just threw away my oversized mat overatch mousepad. Not sure if its worth cleaning them after a decade.
>>724248967That's disgusting. Mine had never looked like that. Even after several weeks without washing. You probably have excess oils from being fat.
>>724248864Smells great too. Covers the cheese smell.
>>724248735what are the steps
>>724248735I wipe it down with a damp microfiber cloth from time to time.
>>724248735Not todaynext saturday is cleaning day
>>724249075it's dry skin, dumbo. dust or just from dragging his wrist on it
>>724248953anon, you can clean rubber...
>>724249020>overwatchdefinitely not worth it
>>724249245no you can't
>>724248735When I've cleaned mine, it will never look 'normal' like it will have wrinkles throughout and the sides of the mousepad won't be straight either.
>>724249194Wipe it down with 70% iso and a microfiber like once a week. You can deep clean it and let it dry with some soapy distilled water if it's really bad.
>>724249310you so can
>>724249235ashy ass mf
>>724249350I would think isopropyl would eat away at much of the material present in a cloth pad. Warm soapy water in the sink is recommended for most cloth pads I'm pretty sure.
>>724249194Just throw it in the washing machine with your clothes and then air dry it
I'm a console gamer
>>724249435I use 70% iso on my artisan pad. Works great.
>>724248735Real /v/ would never do that.
>>724249350>>724249530What does isopropyl do that soap and water doesn't?
>>724249310hand clean it, don't just throw it in the washing machine set to max agitation
>>724249749dries without leaving soap scum all in the fibers, allows a surface clean without rinsing and waiting for it to dry.
>>724248735I don't know how!!!!
>>724249958What do you think a washing machine is going to do to it? It just works and it makes it easy to keep it clean because it lines up with your laundry day.
>>724249749There are some substances I find are more easily broken up by isopropyl alcohol than soap. Sugary stuff dissolves right into it, whereas with soap sometimes you have to scrub a bit to get the dried sugar film out. It also neutralizes bong water odor.
mine's stickied to my desk, it's over
>>724249396>>724249958is rubbing rubber truly cleaning
>>724248735I've been using the same mousepad since 2014 (and owned this mousepad for who knows how long prior) and I have never cleaned it.
>>724250151>What do you think a washing machine is going to do to it?random chance to twist the pad around in way that ends up tearing it>>724250250>is cleaning truly cleaningyes you fucking retard
just fill up a bathtub, pour some dish washing soap or shampoo in and then chuck it in there and leave it for a while
>>724249530That a Key83? Got one a few weeks ago, feels godly vs my old X-Raypad which I'm now using as a base layer.
>>724250345That's why you throw it in with clothes. Most modern pads have stitched edges too
>>724248735No, I clean mine already every 3 months. Soap and warm water with a rag in the tub. Wax on/wax off. Also Cordura mousepads are objectively the best. Hydrophobic/oilphobic, extremely abrasion resistant (unlike inferior cloth pads), and extremely low friction coefficient with hard skates (ceramic, sapphire or glass - though glass is cringe and degrades too fast compared to the former too, ceramic is the cheapest). They also don't build-up slow spots from your skin oil like glass or cloth pads with use resulting in the most consistent glide at all times. Simply put there isn't a mousepad material yet that is as superior as cordura in all scenarios, you can even use inferior PTFE skates on it and enjoy the benefits. There are some unique materials that only work with hardened skates like (((Razer's))) Acari which iss a coated aluminum sheet but will vaporize PTFE skates and requires glass/ceramic skates to enjoy the benefits but frankly you should support (((Razer))) as they are the worst.
Glass mousepads are superior
>>724249235>dumbo
people still use mousepads?
>>724248735i haven't used a mousepad in yearsif you have a good wooden desk it works perfectly fine without one
>>724248735please provide instructions
>>724249690this is pretty hot...
Why do white people not wash their hands
Scuffs build character
>>724250804You can't wash the brown off.
>>724250804I wash my hands. I don't wash my forearm.
keyboards are way harder to maintain, mine is full of pubic hair and gamer gunk, I dont want to spend the time to sit down and take out all the keys one by one
>>724250804dead skin and gunk will happens regardless if you live inside a clean room or not
>>724249690guh
>>724248953I put mine in the bathtub or sink and scrub it with a soft sponge and a little laundry detergent. The most annoying part is having no mouse pad while it's hanging to dry.
>>724249690ahh memories
>>724248735I haven't been using a mousepad for a long time and just recently got one (logitech power play 2, so I won't have to bother with charging the mouse), so no need to replace it yet.
you can use one of those car spray things to clean carpet and seats and it works wonders on mousepads btw, it even leave a nice "new car smell"
>>724251308based
>>724248770fpbp
i just buy a new one if it gets noticeable
>>724251308does it remove dried cum?
I havent opened my PC case in over 4 yearsI have 2 cats and a dusty roomThe PC is sitting on the floor
>>724251665yes, just imagine anything nasty that can happen on a car and it removes it, may need a few applications but it's honestly the easiest way I found to clean mousepads, a bit pricey all things considered
>>724251665it may remove the dried cum on a mousepad but it will never remove the dried cum in your soul
not yet
>>724249196No one thought my glass mousepad is cool?...
>>724252127Glass mousepads are the worst. They develop slow spots within one session and grind down PTFE skates. You also have to wear a fucking femboy sleeve to adequately use the pad. What a meme. Glass skates serve a purpose on hybrid/hard/cordura pads though but they are outclassed by ceramic or sapphire skates which don't degrade or slow down over time like glass.
>>724252292I haven't noticed any slow spots yet and I've had it for maybe 2 months. The sleeve is annoying but I don't need it most of the time. It is much easier to keep clean and I felt like my cloth pads got slow spots much more quickly.
>>724252127Couldn't even tell it's glass desu. Get a better camera.
>>724249690
>>724249749Dries quickly and without leaving a residue, it all evaporates
>>724252292cloth pad + dot skates is peak.
Genuine question, what's the best way to clean them? I have one of those pretty long pads that's a few feet long, can you just throw that bitch into the laundry machine, or do I gotta scrub it in the sink?
>>724252474I screenshot the compressed image because I accidentally took it as an heic or some shit. I need to figure out how to make my camera take photos that aren't 50mb so I can upload them directly to 4chan. I'm sure theres a settings or something in the camera app.
>>724250775not funnydidnt laugh
>>724249690cute kanna board
>>724252641good luck,
The manual on mine said not to clean it ever because it will damage the surface or something. It's nasty as fuck, I'm thinking about throwing it away and buying a new one.
>>724253306>The manual on mine said not to clean it ever because it will damage the surface or somethingThat's just what they tell you so that you have to go buy a new one. Well if you're buying a new one anyway, it couldn't hurt to try cleaning the old one I guess... the secret is out.
>>724249435alcohol does damage those shitty $1 arts-cow mousepads because it's just a piece of fabric glued to a pad and it melts the gluedeskmats are usually woven fabric so they aren't as easily damaged
I accidentally bought a fucking gigantic mouse pad that covers my entire desk because I didn't check the dimensions, so when one side gets dirty I just rotate it.
>>724252580>PTFE dotsCursed. At least get ceramic dots.
>>724249690imagine if a futa did that
>>724250804i wash my hands a lot, i'm just at my pc for 16 hours a day so it always ends up looking like this, keyboard tooi stopped buying cleaning wipes cus they only got used for this and gamer gunk is unavoidable. a wet paper towel works just as well.
>>724253583Full-coverage desk mats are the future, love 'em.
>>724252580Grab the new Artisan dots, they're much better.
>>724253817Moldy ass motherfucker. You part fungus?
>>724248735i never used one, what am i missing?
>>724253913that is actually not my photo, but this one is
tfw still using my diablo 3 mousepad that i got at a huge discounti never even played diablo 3 until like 10 years after it came out
>>724252127>>724252292You need the discipline to regularly clean them with window cleaning spray or the finger grease will polymerize and became impossible to remove. Other than that I like them.
>>724249690I love this shit, facinating that dried cum turns a golden brown color
I tried washing mine and when it dries it still looks dirty
>>724254740>I tried washing mine and when it dries it still looks dirtyUse a wash rag and dish soap. You want to just moisten the pad first, pour on soap, use a wet (not dripping wet but fully wet) rag and buff in the soal (rotate it) over and over and over across the entire pad. Then rinse the pad, clean the rag until it has no more soap and buff in the opposite direction, rinse and repeat until no more soap is there. Then hang dry it on a chair or something.
>>724252024Just replaced my one of these, had it for like 15 years and it was all moldy and weird underneath
>mouse covering the top left cornerBitch we know you just bought a new one.
>>724253905how much? these are pretty great already.
>>724253764>ruining your mousepad
>>724248770/threadOP is a reddit fag
>>724254268Isopropyl seems to work well for me. It is not sticky at all, and I sweat a lot.
>>724256128>polished ceramic>smoother than any glass skate could ever be>somehow ruining clothI can't imaging being retarded enough to believe that. Ceramics have no impact on cloth pads. PTFE skates however leave behind microparticles of Teflon on even cloth, ensuring an early death caused by forever chemical related cancer and general slowdown from the microdeposits.
>>724248735i did it once and it fucked up the fibers of the fabric making it super inconsistent and adding a lot of friction
>>724251308enjoy your cancer retard
