clean your mousepad, /v/
>>
>mouse over the logo
they didn't clean it, they bought a new one.

too much cum.
>>
>>724248735
I throw mine in with my laundry every couple weeks

coffee mug stains give it character
>>

Consoles don't have this problem.

Galko's boobs don't need cleaning. They're perfect the way they are.

how? the bottom is rubber
>>
it will look like left again in little time
>>
>>724248735
I just threw away my oversized mat overatch mousepad. Not sure if its worth cleaning them after a decade.
>>
>>724248967
That's disgusting. Mine had never looked like that. Even after several weeks without washing. You probably have excess oils from being fat.
>>
>>724248864
Smells great too. Covers the cheese smell.
>>

what are the steps

I wipe it down with a damp microfiber cloth from time to time.

no you can't

When I've cleaned mine, it will never look 'normal' like it will have wrinkles throughout and the sides of the mousepad won't be straight either.
>>
>>724249194
Wipe it down with 70% iso and a microfiber like once a week. You can deep clean it and let it dry with some soapy distilled water if it's really bad.

I would think isopropyl would eat away at much of the material present in a cloth pad. Warm soapy water in the sink is recommended for most cloth pads I'm pretty sure.
>>
>>724249194
Just throw it in the washing machine with your clothes and then air dry it

hand clean it, don't just throw it in the washing machine set to max agitation

dries without leaving soap scum all in the fibers, allows a surface clean without rinsing and waiting for it to dry.

I don't know how!!!!

>>724249958
What do you think a washing machine is going to do to it? It just works and it makes it easy to keep it clean because it lines up with your laundry day.
>>
>>724249749
There are some substances I find are more easily broken up by isopropyl alcohol than soap. Sugary stuff dissolves right into it, whereas with soap sometimes you have to scrub a bit to get the dried sugar film out. It also neutralizes bong water odor.

No, I clean mine already every 3 months. Soap and warm water with a rag in the tub. Wax on/wax off. Also Cordura mousepads are objectively the best. Hydrophobic/oilphobic, extremely abrasion resistant (unlike inferior cloth pads), and extremely low friction coefficient with hard skates (ceramic, sapphire or glass - though glass is cringe and degrades too fast compared to the former too, ceramic is the cheapest). They also don't build-up slow spots from your skin oil like glass or cloth pads with use resulting in the most consistent glide at all times. Simply put there isn't a mousepad material yet that is as superior as cordura in all scenarios, you can even use inferior PTFE skates on it and enjoy the benefits. There are some unique materials that only work with hardened skates like (((Razer's))) Acari which iss a coated aluminum sheet but will vaporize PTFE skates and requires glass/ceramic skates to enjoy the benefits but frankly you should support (((Razer))) as they are the worst.

No one thought my glass mousepad is cool?...
>>
>>724252127
Glass mousepads are the worst. They develop slow spots within one session and grind down PTFE skates. You also have to wear a fucking femboy sleeve to adequately use the pad. What a meme. Glass skates serve a purpose on hybrid/hard/cordura pads though but they are outclassed by ceramic or sapphire skates which don't degrade or slow down over time like glass.
>>
>>724252292
I haven't noticed any slow spots yet and I've had it for maybe 2 months. The sleeve is annoying but I don't need it most of the time. It is much easier to keep clean and I felt like my cloth pads got slow spots much more quickly.

That's just what they tell you so that you have to go buy a new one. Well if you're buying a new one anyway, it couldn't hurt to try cleaning the old one I guess...
the secret is out.
>>
>>724249435
alcohol does damage those shitty $1 arts-cow mousepads because it's just a piece of fabric glued to a pad and it melts the glue

deskmats are usually woven fabric so they aren't as easily damaged
>>
I accidentally bought a fucking gigantic mouse pad that covers my entire desk because I didn't check the dimensions, so when one side gets dirty I just rotate it.

>>
>>724254740
>I tried washing mine and when it dries it still looks dirty
Use a wash rag and dish soap. You want to just moisten the pad first, pour on soap, use a wet (not dripping wet but fully wet) rag and buff in the soal (rotate it) over and over and over across the entire pad. Then rinse the pad, clean the rag until it has no more soap and buff in the opposite direction, rinse and repeat until no more soap is there. Then hang dry it on a chair or something.

>smoother than any glass skate could ever be
>somehow ruining cloth
I can't imaging being retarded enough to believe that. Ceramics have no impact on cloth pads. PTFE skates however leave behind microparticles of Teflon on even cloth, ensuring an early death caused by forever chemical related cancer and general slowdown from the microdeposits.
>>
>>724248735
i did it once and it fucked up the fibers of the fabric making it super inconsistent and adding a lot of friction
