As as a whole the 6th gen is insanely overrated today entirely because of nostalgia. It was the start of mass market appeal slop. The PS2 in particular has fuck all for interesting games.
Resident evil 4, DMC 3, MGS 2 and 3, FFX, Silent hill 2, ratchet and clank series, SSX and tony hawk games are some of the best games of all time
