The more you emulate old video game consoles, the more the market for old discs and cartridges declines. Eventually, all those physical games will disappear.

All that old shit is going to fall apart or disappear into a collection regardless of what anyone does. Giving money to speculators is never okay, best you can hope for is a reprint if physical matters to you.
