those pillars, plateaus, on beachfronts, they form as a result of erosion from natural weather patterns on beachside cliffs right
now halo, not a natural structure, does not have natural weather
so like
my understanding is that silent cartogrophers island was a lone island in the middle of an endless ocean as a purely artificial access point, which is why it's alone and not surrounded by typical signs of beachside erosion such as those cliffside pillars, so

my question is
did someone just throw those in there because he thought they looked good without actually understanding anything about the premise of the place?
I'm only asking because I keep seeing it and it's really bugging me, like it's plucking some uncanny valley feeling, and it's getting annoying

I don't think you would get pillars like that in a controlled artificial environment like that

It is, which means the devs have free access to Quixels MegaScans. Ever wondered why all these games look the same besides lighting? It's because of megascans. Every person who does shit on unreal five gets access to a library of textures, and all the devs use them instead of making their own terrain textures or rock textures. Same with a bunch of other shit, like metals and debri and such.
