Those looked like unique and fun consoles despite everyone shitting on them for being "gimmicky" (moreso the Wii consoles than the DS and 3DS, but still). The Virtual Console also helped, but the idea of having a new way to play was cool and still is to me. The era wasn't perfect obviously, but at least it was interesting. After he passed, I didn't expect to much to change, but I'm not a fan of this Nintendo. It's basically just another version of what Sony and Microsoft are now where the goal is just doing what we did before but stronger. The Switch was a good idea (even though I still miss the asynchronous gameplay the Wii U had), but literally just doing the Switch again but a little stronger and everything costs more isn't what I went to Nintendo for. I'm happy with just the PC and retro/classic gaming.Unless of course SEGA decides to come back for one more try. Then I'd buy another console.
