>>724274779Forgot to add knowing how rage works is pretty important. Scrakes rage if you hit them with burst damage or their health gets too low. Once raged they will keep charging until they die (there are some bug edge cases). Fleshpounds will rage from burst damage or if they have line of sight on you for 10ish? seconds and resets if you break line of sight or if they make an attack regardless if it hits anything which is exploitable with faster move speed on zerk/med. Once raged they will charge until they either hit a player or run into a welded door after which they go back to normal. Avoid shooting FP/SC if it's not your job. Splitting aggro makes them act unpredictably and your damage is unlikely to matter. Scrakes can be flinched which stuns them briefly. This applies primarily to melee attacks and can be useful for zerk or support. On hard you can chain flinch them with katana to kill them but on higher difficulties they can only be flinched once with melee weapons. If you rage an SC do NOT run. The chainsaw swing does way more damage than the looping grinding attack they do once they hit you.
>>724268321I recently played the original KF mod campaign after having played lots of KF1 and KF2 over the years, and seeing the old KF1 maps in their original context was so fascinating. It was also much more spooky than I anticipated, the mod has a much more dreary and eerie feeling to it than even base game KF1.

Having the repair tool in KF2 going from a legitimate strategy to funnel them into a pointless novelty was so disappointing
>>724279289Yeah it was mountain pass, iirc either that one or farm was the biggest map. I fucking loved fortifying old houses with welding tools and blasting shit out of windows, different players covering different sides, leaving pipe bomb traps and planning fallback points and escape routes, etc. I enjoyed 2 but I seriously missed the more strategic gameplay of 1, and whats most upsetting is that literally all they had to do to make fortifications viable again is fix the dumbass spawning that makes enemies drop out of vents 5 feet away from you
