Whats the earliest we can expect Animal Crossing 2 to release?
>>724268524Spring 2027 most earlybut do not expect one for another 3 years
>>724268524Summer 2026
>>724268738Why? 25th anniversary of the series is this spring. They would be retarded to not at least reveal something
They really need to put on focus on upgraded villager interactions. Badly.I was in the camp of New Leaf and everything since the original being perfectly fine, New Horizons is downright terrible with it though.
>>724268873What is else do you want to see? I have a big list, but mostly I want to see cooking and crafting GONE and bring back the emulators. Make me feel surprised by what I might find going on when I walk out my door that day
>>724269108why does the crafting stuff cause so much seethe? it gives gameplay and reason to continue playing, is this a skill issue?
>>724269108I was fine with cooking and crafting. I was pleased with a lot of the new stuff in New Horizons but they failed to put any effort into furniture variety and while I thought crafting was fine and worked well with making you play each day, I feel like I am permanently locked into getting repeat DIYs after a while. The system needs a change.
>>724268524It came out 20 years ago
>>724268873>>724269108I want village staff to have a life outside work and tour the town sometimesI want more multi-villager interactions, like a whole-ass game of tag or a REAL bug-catching contestI want villagers to be able to expand their homes and build shit on their own, I want the town to feel prosperous outside of what I do to itBut most of all I want CHOIR! I WANT TO MAKE MUSIC WITH MY VILLAGERS AND MAKE THEM SING! I WANT TO HEAR MY FAVORITE VIDYA THEMES IN WEH NYOMS
>>724268821It'll be "New Horizons + Isabelle's Funny Amiibo Minigame Island" special Switch 2 edition, which adds some new mini-games separate from the main game and 4k support (only during mini-games).
You mean Animal Crossing 6? We already have 2.
>>724268873I don't mind the niceness of the villagers, but it's at the point where its beyond excessive and annoying. These mother fuckers could find out they have cancer or have to amputate their legs and they'll be happy about it, for some reason.
>>724268524Die switchlet
>>724269384It’s uninspired
>>724269553It peaked here
>>724271056I liked wild world a lot but i always drift back to population growing. I think its a case of your first is your favorite.
>>724271224>population growingStupid midwit, its called Animal Crossing
>>724271280It has a subtitle and is a port of a nintendo 64 game. I differentiate between the two. We have different kinds of autism you and I.
>>724269384>a reason to continue playingMindlessly checking in on the game every day in the hopes I get a lucky dice roll is not my idea of fun. At least with the furniture, you were always getting pieces through various means (you could buy what you wanted at Nookingtons [RIP, by the way], villagers would gift them to you in conversations and letters, recycling bin, presents and trees, etc), and if you were REALLY desperate for furniture, you could go online and find someone to either buy or "catalog" the furniture item. You can't really do that in New Horizons. You get at most 3 DIY recipes per day, and you can't transfer them to other players. It's a lot slower and more obnoxious and for a series that already doesn't respect my precious time, it's just insulting.Customizing things is fine.
>>724268524Holiday of '26 at earliest. They don't want to step on Tomodachi Life coming out earlier in the year and they're going to be rebuilding it to be more of an interconnected world. From what I've heard they're going to let you choose your town's climate/region like you do in Happy Home Designer.
>>724271424The 64 game is Animal Forest
>>724271424Animal ForestAnimal Crossing
Next time there's another pandemic
>>724271698>villagers would gift them to you in conversations and letters, recycling bin, presents and trees, etcAll of that is in New Horizons though??? Like I will never understand New Leaf glazing while acting like NH doesn't give you more to do with island customization.
>>724271798>>724271804I do not care.
>>724271056It peaked at City Folk
>>724271902Yeah, for FURNITURE.Not for DIY recipes. Considering New Horizons opts more towards individual furniture items instead of discreet sets, and considering a sizeable chunk of the furniture in the game is locked behind DIY recipes, it means you can very easily find yourself missing a particular item with no real easy way to get it.
>>724268524>make tools unbreakable>make cutting down trees the axe's stamina effect>let the player toggle stamina effects on/off without needing a toilet>DIY cards are now sold as booster packs(duplicates are converted into miles)
>>724268873>I was in the camp of New Leaf and everything since the original being perfectly fineWhich is hilarious to hear people say because /v/ almost universally shat on New Leaf for years until it got the big update later on. When the new AC comes out, I look forward to seeing all the revisionism about New Horizons being an underrated gem.
>>7242685242027 is my bet. Next year already looks crowded and they're not gonna mess up this release. This series has so much potential
>>724274232Oh it'll happen for sure.
>>724274232I didn't play it until it got the big update, which is probably why my experience with it was mostly positive.
>>724271902I don't want island customization, I want island LIFE
Somewhere in 2027 by this point. I'll probably buy Switch 2 just to play it, hopefully they'll make a bundle
>>724268524If i doesn’t go back to the gamecube elements, im not interested
>>724271808With who we've got in charge, that might not be that long from now
This sounds stupid but I want to build tunnels and have underground caves. Underground villages would be cool.
>>724276647Best you can get is an underground tour that has a bunch of rocks, the rare version is a haunted mine where you can gather a lot of wisps.
>>724276029Me too, tbhngl
>>724272051I didnt play it
>>724271424it's not a subtitle it's a tagline. that said using the tagline as a nickname for the sake of clarity it's perfectly acceptable
>>7242685242028 after that Splatoon Spinoff game is done. I'm hoping they aren't going to do Splatoon 4 instead.
>>724277653I'm sure by now the Animal Crossing and Splatoon teams split by now.
