It is only tolerable if you have a scientific interest in the direction they took its lore. With that said this doesn't mean you will be one of the people that enjoy OSRS. Are you ready for a side monitor game that you need to treat as an idle game for hundreds of hours in order to progress significantly in woodcutting or fishing? The game can be as active as you want, but in the end there is no escaping the hundreds and hundreds of AFKing you'll have to do.
