Think about how many games similar to Genshin or at least used the same basic model have been made over the years. How many lasted? How many even launched? They did a much better job in Act IV learning Rerir's past was actually engaging unlike the prior quest. However it has the issue of having Nefer's story quest just rammed into the middle which makes it feel like naruto filler episode. Integrating the character story quests into the Archon Quest worked pretty well at the start because we were meeting everyone for the first time and learning about Nod-Krai. This time it was just extremely lazy but mercifully not that long.

There's also summer events that are temporary and add a new map that gets removed later, those usually have some info that teases the next year's region, and the only one that gives context for later events that is important is Simulanka.I'm just inhaling copium that they'll make them replayable eventually. They made a system for downloading user generated content, surely making older maps replayable is coming soon.
