Trying to give a good feeling that doesn't need to end.

Rebirth was great, they still have the talent to resources to produce good games they just lack the inspiration now. Obviously they need to go back to massive scale adventure epics with turn based combat but I'm not confident in modern writing teams to come up with something that isn't either an homage to past games or an attempt at current-thing pandering GoT/Stranger Things or whatever else is on the market.I actually think they got the balance perfect with FFX. Have a world with (mostly) linear zones in-between large traversable towns with plenty of side content to keep the game fresh. Then you need characters that aren't anime protags and a story that doesn't rely on gimmicks.Rebirth presented an almost perfect formula, just got a little bogged down with pacing. I'm not going to say that we should have got less, but it definitely would've been a smoother ride if my autism wasn't demanding I spend 10 hours fucking around instead of going through the story
