Sick thread. I just installed CFW in mine and have been finally doing some upkeep. Replaced the control pad since the rubber finally deteriorated off, new battery installed, and I've got a vinyl sticker design coming in next month to cover the water damage on the backplate.

The biggest problem with the 3DS is the screens and the 3D gimmick itself. It shouldve been 2DS from the beginning. It would be easier to understand, the 2nd DS.If nintendo wouldnt have cheapened out for the new models, even the new 2ds XL and put really good IPS color accurate 250 nit screens it would still be a good console.Remember PS vita had a bight OLED with 500 FUCKING nits. I play my vita still more to this day than my original 3DS and it has better games.The PS vita was already in production almost 4 fucking years before the new 3DS model lines released. Pure fucking greed and there's no reason why nintendo couldnt source better panels and fix their mistakes.Steam deck made the same mistake and put a shit screen in the LCD model and now its junk compared to an ROG ally.Nintendo ruined an entire console just like the stupid Wii U wireless tablet gimmick and sad part is retards will pay $400 USD for like new models of these garbage with TN dim screens even today because retard normies have no understanding of screen gamut color accuracy or brightness which are major factors in gaming quality even on PC.Best you can do is do an HDMI mod or wait until the chinks can make replacement IPS screens like the PSP. Emulation is never better.

I love AC:WW and continue to play it on my DS lite alongside New Leaf on my 3DS. However, since the scaling is blurry and bad on 3DS for DS games, I keep the DS Lite around just for WW.The DSi XL has a larger screen but the same resolution as the DS, so the image should be larger while still maintaining true resolution. Is it so good as to be worth buying a DSi XL for one game? To be fair, I only play AC:WW, NL, and a couple PC games anymore, but I'm still on the fence. The DSi XL also has nice IPS screens compared to the TN screens of the DS, so it should look even nicer. It's approximately $120-$150 for a DSi XL with an unscratched screen though.Does anyone here have any experience with WW on these different handhelds, or the ability to post photographs of the game on a DSi XL versus a DS Lite or 3DS running WW at true resolution?

>>724282126It’s the winter aesthetic pokemon game. There’s not much to say about it, because it’s a solid pokemon game. It’s a good use of the formula, but expect the formula. What you’re in for depends on what games you have to compare it to. For Pokemon, it’s not too hand holdy with tutorials, and the level scaling is nowhere near as bad as HG/SS (but there’s also no two regions in Platinum). The later entries won’t play all that similar to Platinum. If you don’t like Platinum you’ll like at least one of the later games, and if you beat Platinum, move onto White, and hate White don’t force yourself to like it, because I’d expect that. Platinum is way less hand-holdy, tutorialized, and has less cut scenes then any of the games that follow. Don’t expect a similar experience with White/White 2, because it really changed everything up, and the Unova mons are mostly ugly. It was popular at the time, because girls really wanted to fuck N, and the protagonists are like 16 or so which was a novelty. I'll still replay White/2 on occasion, but they play really different. It's more like a VN at times. X/Y is good as a non-pixelated Pokemon, but it’s very cutscene and delay happy. ORAS is fine if you liked the GBA games, but nobody likes it as much as the GBA versions.
