Which way white man?
>>724278123SP for sure
>>724278123For under $100 your best bet is a 2DS. Around $150 I would say a Vita, over $200 and I say one of those chinkhelds.
no psp?
>>724278123I'm planning to pick up either the Anbernic SP knock off or the 40XX Pro. Waiting for a christmas sale to start.
>>724278123RP2 but the S version
>>724278123i love my odin 2 portal so damn much
>>724278123SP because I'm a sucker for original hardware.
>>724278483>Portalthat's not a Portal
>>724278786playstation portal sucks ass. the decode times are awful. with snapdragon gen 2 you can use warp in apollo for 2ms decode. thats faster than xbox controller inputs over wired.
steam deck and it's not even closeenough battery for hours of Slay the Spire on the couch or in bed, or if I want to play a AAA game for some reason i can run it off my desktop 4090 and stream it to my Deck and play at max graphics
>>724278214thats fucking retarded rp4p is sub $150 on sale and plays every relevant 3ds, vita, ps2, gc and thousands of other games
>>724279763>rp4p is sub $150 on salenow include how much tariffs and shipping are chang.
>>724278896800p screen was a really a genius choicethis $300 thing came out years ago and im playing ninja gayden 4 on it
>>724279956>tariffsno one has ever paid tariffs on a chinkheld and if you have you're a certified retard
Retroid Pocket 5 refresh ("G2") and Pocket 6 were just announced, both systems are a Snapdragon G2 gen 2 SoC
>>724278123I'm a deck fag, not because it's the best, but because it's the best for me. It's an emulation beast being able to easily emulate anything up to the PS2 generation. The battery life is decent, being able to get 4 to 8 hours. And with games and emulation that require very low system resources, you can easily get 9 to 10 out of it.I also like being able to bring it to my brother's place, connect it to his TV with a usbc dongle. and play some splitscreen games with him, when we hang out and drink.I pretty much play 90% on the deck. For me, it works really well, but there are some negatives to it.The main one is just that it's big and can be awkward to bring out with me, but I manage. I always have a bag with me. But it can be annoying at times.
>>724280307Pocket 6 colorsBack is molded even more aggressively than the Pocket 5/G2 are and much more overtly knocking off the Vita
>>724280390
>>724280459
>>724280307doesn't really seem like THAT much of an upgrade no?>>724280390if this is the same screen as the thor I will hold off. it seems to have a big problem with image retention
I like the Steam Deck but I think Valve has no excuse for the shoddy QC on their hardware. They're not some random chink company, it's just stingy the amount of common faults they have:>sticking buttons>unresponsive diagonals on D-pad caused by bad membranes>right side case creak problem>factory overtightened screws giving the appearance of backlight bleed>dead pixels but tbf that's every company>speaker crackle problemPlus the company they contract for RMAs is garbage. Otherwise a goated device though. Love my OLED.
>>724278123Big fat steamy donk
>>724280716>factory overtightened screws giving the appearance of backlight bleedonly one ive had, took care of it when i upgraded the ssd>64 gig lcd
>>7242781233DS no contest
>>724278241>look how fancy it looks like in your pocket. buy this you normieeven niche markets have given up on marketing to their core audience
>>724280390Oops I'm stupid RP6 is on a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, not a G2 gen 2>>724280697Snapdragon G2 Gen 2 is a pretty decent upgrade for the RP5, general 50% power bump-up. Pocket G2 to Pocket 6 is the one that's not much of an upgrade comparativelyIt's basically an AYN Odin2 Mini with $100 knocked off and more colors, plus Playstation stick layout instead of Xbox/Nintendo stick layout
>>724278123The deck is unironically the best vidya device I have ever bought. Literally a childhood dream system.
>>724278123why are you guys so afraid of refurbished SP for everything GBA and below? You should be able to get anything else on a modded 3ds or PSP. I don't see why you need more than a steam deck with an emulator for everything else.
>>724278241based 351MP chad3326 will reign supreme forever
>>724281239Why buy refurbished when you can get RG35XXSP new?
>>724281370cause my original SP has lasted since release day and my refurbished SP with upgraded backlight and battery is also solid at 10+ years. The real products are dam near indestructible with nice gooey d pads and buttons.
>>724281461my ags-101s are too valuable to just throw in a pocket now, especially since they're in very good condition. chinkhelds are great, you can throw them in a pocket or bag no problem
i love the dpad and buttons on my trimui shart pro
What game do I play next on my RG406H
>>724280075Nobody save certified retards has bought one.
>>724278123None, i don't have a need to play video games outside at all.
>>724282260>outside
Steam deck 2 when it comes out is the best option. If there is a steam deck thats 1.5x more powerful than the rog ally z1 extreme chip with a bigger screen and has touchpads it would be the perfect handheld mini PC. Steam deck LCD was a nice proof of concept but it had terrible hardware specs and was underpowered when it released. Better than the switch I suppose but that's not saying much, 30 FPS still isn't good enough even if it can run withcer 3 at medium settings 800p. Especially not $650 good for the OLED. That is a straight scam. When we see a $450 steam deck 2 with a 1080p screen, 90hz, 100% SRGB and trackpads with a chip more powerful to run modern 2022 games at 70-80fps like elden ring, then we'll be talkingAlternatively the rog ally z1 extreme is the only other good handheld for the priceThere are no other good alternatives.Everything else is either too expensive, too low powered or niche. The deck LCD is garbage at $350, the deck OLED is just a scam for $650 with tax tip and case. The only appeal retroid pockets have is they are smaller and even then they have terrible stick placement, form factor and they are getting as heavy as pc handhelds now.>t. owned a deck LCD, OLED and legion GO at one point and sold them all for a 5800X3D and GPU upgrade on main PC. Desktop just wins. I have zero use for handhelds that dont have at least the specs of a midrange lenovo legion gaming laptop which are $500 right now and have amazing 1080p screens
>>724278123Which one of them can run Wii/3DS games without issues and without emptying the battery in 30 minutes?
>>724282372food input mostly
>>724278220op is asking white men, presumab le they aren't white hence the lack of psp and a catalog of browngger coded systems
>>724282614kek i mean handheld doesn't imply outside, just anywhere that's not sitting at your desk with your pc, e.g. couch, bed, porch etc.
>>724282991If I'm not at my standing desk playing on my PC with my treadmill where else would I be gaming?Americans don't use buses, trains and the only people who use airplanes are business people.Even then when you get to the hotel a gaming laptop would be 1000x more comfortable for actual gaming.
RP6 just announced
>>724278123What is this shit?
>>724278123Need to go bigger

>>724283201I'll just wait 6 months for RP7
>>724278123Either the Deck, a Rog Ally or any other portable PC that can emulate the rest.
>>724278123Everything below Steam Deck is a proper handheld.
>>724278123
>>724278123Currently I mostly use my Anbernic Slide. I have shitloads of handhelds though.

>>724278214>Vita>Around $150It came out in 2011, obsolete hardware shouldn't cost so much.
>>724283723>tiktokUnalive yourself.
I really like my Odin 2 but I'm thinking of grabbing a miyoo mini or similar for even more portable retro stuff. Anyone have any recommendations for the $50-75 price point for up to like ps1 or better?
>>724278123None of these.Go sell your e-waste to your domestic market.

>>724278123My phone has emulators on it so none of them
>>724278123i always wanted that teeny tiny GBA but the system itself only had Pokémon and metroid and i wasnt interested in that
>>724290630Still, you'll need a gamepad. Playing real games on a touch screen sucks.
>>724290938At that point you may as well carry a handheld.
3DS, because Kirby goyslop, Kid Icarus Uprising, and dungeon crawling JRPGs are on it.
>>724290796It has Breath of Fire, KHCOM, and Mana though...
>>724278123with those paw print caps?missionary
>>724292448Are pawprint joystick covers a sign of femininity?
>>724278123The most you'd ever need is a small handheld for emulating ps1 and under on the go (maybe some dreamcast too), a hacked 2/3ds, and a deck for everything else in the world.Anything else is redundant hoarding
>>724294297
You should have switched to console or PC way back after the 3ds you fucking faggot.
>>724294345>guruminbased beyond belief
>>724278123Of all my handhelds I enjoyed the GBA SP the most probably, with the original DS a good second. The one I hate the most is the PSP1000 as it has a dogshit screen with so much ghosting/black smear that most games are unplayable, especially the MGS games that I got it for.
>>724295793Whats the best of the best in terms of GBA games?
>>7242781233DS-2DS were KINO as far as games went but the hardware was absolute ass. The opposite of the Vita (which isn't even in your image, sad).
