Anyone here hyped for Ahoy? I think the name fucking sucks but the game itself sounds promising.

Usually games like these end up like no man's sky where they add a bunch of boring time wasting content instead of focusing on fun stuff.

That doesn't mean it can't have "number go up" menus mechanics but it shouldn't be the main focus.

I think the term chef's use is "being a busy idiot".

This does sound like everything I've wanted for a sailing game if they ever reach their end desire.

this is what happens when you listen to people, you get basically an idea of a game made by a retard "I want star citizen but pirates" "why can't they do it"
"i'm bored now"
"I want star citizen but rome now"

Maybe back in 2014 but I think we all know devs do this on purpose. Not only that but they have perfected it.

It's doable since it's been done before, albeit with 160 years later. The main concern is that the game ends up being ARMA and any other simulator where the gameplay ends up being clicking through menus if they're just focusing on a PC only release.

Not like there isn't anything preventing developers from making WWII-era subsims. The source code would be more valuable for an enhanced re-release, but it should really be open source at this point.
