Goes to show how much the Japanese dropped the ball on this genre, doesn't it?
They didn't go anywhere interesting after FF7. The stories didn't get better, and the gameplay didn't get better. Persona just cornered and audience of people who want to make believe that they're Japanese highschool kids, and everything else is Dragon Quest yet again with a new cast of waifus in each entry.
If you aren't "in the scene" (read: a retarded waifufag who likes it when the numbers go up), you aren't going to play any of these games. You've played it already.
