I'm a grown man, physically fit, not easy to scare irl etc. ... But I somehow can't play scary vidya. I think the scariest games I've ever played were bioshock 1&2 and control 2019.

My friends are fans of resident evil games and want me to play it but I really don't want to. And those aren't even considered scary apparently.

I dont get scared but I get a dreadful annoyance. Maybe its the gameplay though. Amnesia like hide from monster i hate. But votv jumpscare or spooky i love.

I'm the same way. I couldn't bring myself to play Doom 3 when it was new and all my friends were playing it, and I refuse to touch any of the RE games.
