Here is my takeThe outer worlds is a solid 7/10. Even though there were some slow and boring parts, some aspects that were 9/10 made up for it. I remember enjoying trying to do everything on groundbreaker that I could and exploring every hidden passage way for some hidden loot. Byzantium is a place where the polish started to end, but I still found it funny finding out what "retirement" was. You still felt that even though some of the game was lacking, there were some devs that still cared.Outer worlds 2 doesn't have the fun and charm that the first one had. It's a 3/10 at best and feels like it was made by an HR Karen that never played a game but just heard about what a game is from her son. I played (pirated) the entire first planet, and it feels empty. Like I didn't accomplish anything. The most feeling I get out of the first several hours of playtime is regret that I wasted bandwidth pirating this dei commiefornia liberal dev slop. I don't know how else to put it. It's way more forgettable than the first one rpg wise. It just feels like they focused mostly on gunplay and stealth (which is better than the 1st one) and the actual rpg aspect and story was an afterthought. There were exactly 0 funny or fun or at least interesting memorable moments. And Niles is uppity and annoying as fuck. I actually like parvati from the first one. Niles, I just want to shoot him, but he is invincible.
Oh and I had to use dlss to get a decent framerate. The textures themselves are higher quality than on the first one which is a plus, but the overall design and color choices just feel bad.
