Do you think it would be better if the devs decided that whatever choice the playerbase picked the most is canon? Telltales tried to cater to every since choice so that when a sequel came out they had to kill off the character to make it work. Kenny is a prime example of this, stick with him and he dies in a car crash. Go with Jane and she kills herself. Making it so that the most popular choices are the canon ones for the sequel might prevent that kind of stuff from happening.
