So what WAS his plan?
>>724292265Tahiti/Australia and mango farming.
>>724292265I know, but you have to trust me.
>>724292265galavanting around with his "knights"there never was a plan
>>724292265My eldest brother behaves just like him and seeing him in the game pisses me off to no end.
>>724292265buy time
>>724292592Your brother goes around robbing banks in large cities and kills dozens of people while preaching that it’s actually good what he’s doing all while indoctrinating his juniors on pozzed ideologies that he himself doesn’t believe in?!Can I meet him?
Get enough money to leave, but he didn't want to leave.
he was gonna have alot, and i mean aLOT of sex with nubile b*tches
the whole "Dutch was a manipulative psycho asshole" thing never made any sense to me because he was the only person who seemed to be stressed out that they were running out of options and getting corneredDutch's major mistake was listening to "Hello My Name is Evil McBackstab" as his right-hand man but that's a flaw well within the bounds of normalityDutch becomes a significantly worse and less interesting character if you interpret him as someone who doesn't believe his own spielalso Tahiti was unironically a good plan considering RDR1 shows us just how well "just split up and go your separate ways lol" worked out for the Van der Linde Gang
>>724293426He’s the only good character Rockstar Games have ever created, other than Niko Bellic. But I feel his ambiguity is a large component in that.
>>724292265Shitposts aside, he had no plan and was just bullshitting the whole game. He had no intention of retiring and strung his family along before ultimately getting most of them killed.
>>724292265Nothing. And every member of the gang was an idiot for not seeing that. He's not even charismatic enough to trick people.
>>724293426>>724293518It's also compounded by the fact he sees his best friend/brother die in front of him and suffers multiple traumatic head wounds throughout the course of the game, so he may not have mentally been in the right state around the time when the gang started raiding with the indians and wasn't aware of how bad the gang's situation was.
Tahiti would have been worse to live in during that period than any part of the United States.
>>724292265mangoes
>>724292808this, he was a desperate man on the run
>>724292265Just one more train ORTHUR
To keep pulling everyone down with him. That's about it. He had no plan. He just wanted to keep winging it and hoping God's grace will just enable him to keep escaping capture simply because he's willed it for so long. That's not how a leader leads. Everyone caught in the gang was indoctrinated and couldn't see the bigger picture because they were so captivated by Dutch and his cult of personality. They placed faith in the provision of man instead of God. God has a final plan. Dutch was just looking to throw middle fingers to blaze a path through anyone and anything. People were tools to be used for him. Using a couple of intimate titles like "son" and "my dear" let him get away with way too much. Also presentation is everything. Staying close to Dutch let's you understand as a player that he has no plan. But he dresses and looks like he knows what he's doing and talking about. That goes a long way with lots of people
>>724292289Guarma showed him that even on a tropical island, he can't escape civilization and will never grow mangos in peace.
