Perfect game for unwinding if you ask me. You never get lost, you don't have to make decision about where to go, difficulty scaling is immaculate, and there's no down time like running around and back-tracking in DS1 & ER, it's all action, all meat, no fat.Ultimately, DS3 is the McDonalds of the souls games, it's not a gourmet meal by any means, but it hits the spot all the same and is more convenient to play. I still put it below ER, SEK and BB ofc.

>>724309882Agreed, it's a good mix of comfy and combat. Even though DS1 and Demon's are my favourite, DS3 has that sweet spot. And the difficulty curve is very smooth as you said. Reinstalled it this morning, will replay soon. Going to go full Gundyr build this time on NG+. Just not sure what kind of magic to use as my previous run was 100% melee, 0 magic, 0 ranged. Wouldn't mind some buff for a change (no ranged still, just something to buff myself).
