Literally everything about it sucks. Full of beginners trap bullshit and technically a mess. It's not just that the framerate is terrible but there's also things like they added swaying bridges but physics doesn't work so the bridge moves but the player standing on it doesn't. Terrible. Decent area overall, very overrated for being "bullshit" or "hard". The two issues it has are, 1, objectively that's bad: there's a kill-plane that's far too high in one area, and it overlaps with regular walking area, so when walking on it you can instantly die. You didn't drop/fall at all. And subjectively, it's pretty dumb that you get full toxin buildup when blocking the blowdart pricks.

I recently started playing again and frankly, I didn't find Blighttown as bad as I did over ten years ago.
I was grinding shards (more liek sharts amirite??) for a bit and I distinctly remember back in the day to kill the mosquitos (all three or four waves) that approach the bonfire, slowly making my way from dry land to dry land while trying to not get poisoned.
Now I just run through, chug estus whenever needed and run back. Time spent on leeches at the very least halved, and I lost nothing from it. And the area feels a lot smaller than it did back then.

Currently I'm back stuck on Abbot and Costello though. Super fatso always gets me with his ass while I am busy swinging. Using the Great Club and I feel like it's constantly missing despite being right in the middle of the enemy hitbox.

Also, do people still play PTDE or is it completely dead? I have a jolly coop and a ganker character and trying invasions was never successful and getting summoned even less so.
