So rather than making a PS2 general that fits all possible PS2 discussion you'll see dedicated Sly Cooper, Metal Gear Solid and Final Fantasy X threads. The PS2 is only a tool to experience those games, rather than the reason people love them.

Heres the real retro console truth pill: the ps2 won, everyone else lost. Yeah, your platform suffered as a result, it is inferior to the ps2. Its not close, theres no room for discussion, and its not about preferences either. They still have things to offer but if you have to recommend one to most people without knowing anything about them the safe bet would be ps2.The gamecube, dreamcast, and xbox are doomed to fade from memory some faster than others.
