So this finally got a full release after like 5 years, is anyone playing it?
it's like a more rough top down version of terraria
>>724319129So like Core Keeper.
bump
>>724319179core keeper is one of the most boring games I've ever played. I played necesse like a year ago and while it's better than core keeper, why would I play necesse when I could just play terraria again?
>>724320998Terraria and Core Keeper don't blend in lite elements of colony sims nor an NPC party system.Necesse does.
>>724319002How is the endgame content now? New incursions or biomes?
playing this just feels like going down a checklist of shit they want me to do. There's no real exploration and no real mining. It's just progression, progression, progression non stop.
>>724319179Core Keeper runs like fucking garbage
>>724319002is this anything like Rimworld or Fantasy Life i>>724321645>NPC party systemHow is that? I love having pawns in Dragon's Dogma to go on adventures with. Is this anything like that?
>>724322561It's low quality pixel shit so no waif or loli like in DD And no it's pretty bare bones
>>724322351>There's no real exploration and no real mining. It's just progression, progression, progression non stop.I think that's one issue introduced by swapping to an infinite world gen that randomly scatters the same shit all over instead of a finite world that scatters certain unique key locations in it.
>>724322857>no loliMy NPC team was all little girls.
>>724322561It is indeed. Your townspeople in your colony can be equipped and recruited to follow you into battle. I have not tested how many you can have following you.
>>724323580do they have different kinds of personalities or are they just cardboard cutouts
>>724323778Cardboard cutouts.
>>724324081damn
>>724319002Been playing this with a couple friends, it just sort of feels like watered down terraria. Not a bad game either but there's no real sense of exploration or discovery, you basically just go to x cave biome, collect biome related mineral for the next pickaxe tier, defeat biome related boss, then proceed to the next biome. Hell they even copied Terraria's class system down to giving summoner shit weapon variety
>>724323778You gotta give them a personality because unlike you if an NPC dies, they ACTUALLY stay dead, they won't revive they die for good.
>>724324468So what you're saying is...Wait for a modding scene to open up and add a Thorium-tier expansion mod?
>>724324468thats my same take-away. The rimworld settlement building is a neat addition, but crafting is mostly instant, so it doesn't add much in terms of automation. Its still a nice game to scratch the Terraria itch, and has a competitive amount of content. but it copies its progression path so by the book, me and my co-op group of veteran Terraria players aren't really finding anything new and exciting from it.
