I was really intrigued by Final Fantasy XIII-2. I loved the aesthetic and music of FFXIII but was overall disappointed by the barebones, hallway flow of the game (it's so much more than the hallway, there's just so little to do along the hallway path). XIII-2 gets announced. It has the same atmosphere of XIII that I loved, it stars Serah (a character I enjoyed in the first game) and sought to address the gameplay criticism of the first entry. And I never got around to playing it.I think what is stopping me from playing it now is I'm not sure how I want to play it. If I got a Series X I could play an enhanced version of it on Xbox's BC catalogue. But there's rumors of a FFXIII remaster being in the works and that might include XIII-2 so I feel tempted to wait a bit longer for that.
