very fun game, but the sound track is pretty fucking disappointing. i just made it up to the stone age area yesterday, and theres like 4 songs i like so far. if you told me half the songs in the game were taken directly from an anime or gacha game, i'd have no problem believing it - they completely missed the feeling of what katamari games should sound like.
The handholding outside of the levels is insane. The cutscenes interrupting the level are as unnecessary as the loading screens, and likely should have just replaced the latter. Battle modes should have just stayed tucked away inside of the ship instead of having braindead AI levels. I can't prove it but the rolling just feels so fucked up in spots where you don't crash but you also stop moving for an entire second. The presentation is still good.

I've been really loving the game, in part because the time travel theme just works great for Katamari. I do agree with what others have said about the controls, though. There's something off about them - simultaneously sluggish at times and overly fast and slippery at others.
